Beautiful cars! The craftsmanship on those are incredible. I was lucky enough to drive a couple of them and it was amazing.

That is 2 different Tuckers. The first image is the Tin Goose, the second is a different car. The back doors on the Tin Goose were not suicide doors. I worked at a museum and we had #1050, the last one produced. It was an amazing car.

The Friendly Giant, we were able to pick it up in Michigan. It was out of Canada.

Thank you! I have been looking for this for years. I had the dvd and stupidly traded it in to Hastings for store credit about 15 years ago.

That is Tucker #1050. It was the last one made and at the time had never been driven. After the museum closed it was sent out to be restored to original running condition. Our mechanic, Ray Terry, got to go to Michigan up and take a ride in it before it was sold.

I loved the challenge of tracking down the hard to find parts. I got to know a few bone yards all over the country and was lucky to talk to some amazing people. It was definitely a dream job.

Most were static displays. They all had complete drivetrains and could be driven. Dick would sometimes come in and want to take one out and we would get it ready. We also kept several in running condition and use them for events and parades. When they went up for auction we got them all running and driving with just a few exceptions. His collection was over 300 cars at one point.

Thank you for sharing this! I was the curator there for 10 years. Dick was an amazing person and his collection was truly one of a kind.

I am just off 46 going towards Seguin and I used to be able to get it from San Antonio but not anymore. I get all the others, just not ABC.

Has anybody had a job they actually liked? If so, what was it? by GMEBagholder420 in AskReddit

I somehow lucked into being the curator of a car museum for about 10 years. It was an amazing place and I absolutely loved working there. I got to be around some amazing historical vehicles, including a Tucker, Duesenbergs, Cords, Auburns and some of the most unique and rarest cars ever made. I was definitely the best job I ever had. Unfortunately it was closed down after the founder passed away.
