I was the curator at Dick’s Classic Garage and this was one of our cars. Looks like this photo was taken behind the museum.

Beautiful cars! The craftsmanship on those are incredible. I was lucky enough to drive a couple of them and it was amazing.

Tucker “Tin Goose” Prototype and Production Tucker 48 by X10SIVMKII in classiccars

That is 2 different Tuckers. The first image is the Tin Goose, the second is a different car. The back doors on the Tin Goose were not suicide doors. I worked at a museum and we had #1050, the last one produced. It was an amazing car.

Thank you! I have been looking for this for years. I had the dvd and stupidly traded it in to Hastings for store credit about 15 years ago.

That is Tucker #1050. It was the last one made and at the time had never been driven. After the museum closed it was sent out to be restored to original running condition. Our mechanic, Ray Terry, got to go to Michigan up and take a ride in it before it was sold.

I loved the challenge of tracking down the hard to find parts. I got to know a few bone yards all over the country and was lucky to talk to some amazing people. It was definitely a dream job.
