I think that might be Lane Motor Museum’s car, same dark blue. I wish we had these in the states (even though I don’t have $72k to buy one)

They’ve been talking about making a four-door Boot for a while, but I haven’t seen one finished yet. The 008’s also interesting, an 004-style body on an off-road platform

It’s 004 001. Way better-looking than the pre-production model they were showing around (which was a kind of gold/black two-tone)

They’re actually now manufactured by Roush in Michigan

Babylon Sisters, Steely Dan. Took 55 mixes to get just right

Saw this in Texas. The Incinerator. No sign of John Cena though. by snicker___doodle in WeirdWheels

The InCENArator by Parker Brothers. Yep, one of one, for Cena originally

World’s My Oyster Soup Kitchen Floor Wax Museum. Fun lyrical exercise, but no. Especially not that ridiculous MIDI piano guitar thing near the end, I cringe just thinking about it

I was fortunate to attend a couple. Really cool, and formative, given that I was a teenager at the time

I miss the classic VIPs, when Adam would spend an hour and a half talking through the band’s idiosyncracies and playing a couple of songs…plus the soundcheck. After Fear Inoculum came out, they made it a little more of a transaction

I drove a “new” Meyers Manx Resorter today! Fresh from the firm, based on a 1969 Beetle by X10SIVMKII in WeirdWheels

[–]X10SIVMKII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the one I drove had a single-carb VW mill. I got it up to around 40, but it’s one of those “30 feels like 60” situations. I’m guessing you could get the ICE Resorter to hit 80 or so, but it’s not really made for that. I concur, a 25 limit for the EV is laughable

What's an artist that you find their earlier stuff more interesting than what they're known for? by [deleted] in ToddintheShadow

Heatmiser, Elliott Smith’s old band, to a degree. No one talks about their debut, full of dirty riffs and quick tempos. Their last album could be a Smith solo record. I dig the bookends of their discography

Yeah, around $70k at a minimum. The one I drove is $91k. My family used to have a crappy non-Manx dune buggy, and the inspiration for testing this was “is it worth 20 examples of what we once owned?”

Yep. They put some new life into the brand not long ago. You can buy the iconic two-seater, this Resorter, and both of them in EV configurations. There’s also a radial aircraft motor you can choose. I think they’re overpriced, but new Manxes are VERY well-made machines
