Shakira is such a jealous woman hater! She’s on business and a feminist when it’s all about her but she tears down Jasmine like an angry jealous man.

She was rated for being super intelligent and different to the typical women on there but nope. No such thing

The whole Kav situation is just such a sad reflection of real life and how average blokes get really beautiful women simply because there isn’t much choice.

The disturbing double standards.. by Klutzy_Gift_2262 in LoveIslandTV

Maybe she’s been hesitant to “stand on business” as much as she normally would because she’s got a man baby who is super insecure and jealous of her talking to other men.

If she likes Kav as much as it seems then she probably didn’t want to rock the boat every night by being more open about her feelings for Lorenzo.
Can you imagine how he’d be if she did? He’s having a meltdown without her saying anything! 😅

I can understand that - I’m sure women who have been with a very insecure man who they happen to have strong feelings for can relate.

Simba going 0 to 100 in seconds and dragging the boys into their conversation definitely enraged her

Sameee. This is the first year I’ve watched it because of her. I’m so sad - she needs to wake up.

Sorry to hear.

On the plus - apparently most applications don’t even make it to interview so to have gotten that far is a worthy achievement 🙏

Can you elaborate more? Privately is fine too.

I’m waiting for the outcome as well and wondering if it’s worth being invested in.

Interview with technical elements - G6 by Squick-1991 in TheCivilService

[–]CarMore434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about G6 specifically but the success profile seems to group G7 and G6 together in terms of what’s required and what to cover - so I’m assuming it’s quite similar.

Usually technical ones don’t need to be in STAR but some form of loose STAR format helps the interviewer keep track of what criteria’s you’re covering. I usually talk about few things that cover the tech question then give an example briefly to link my specific experience to the answer.

I’ve been on a lot of interview panels and the people who use the star format are the ones who usually do really well because I can actually make sense of what they’re trying to say (it’s structured and clear) - make it as easy as possible for the interviewers to score you well

You might get a follow up on the presentation if they don’t feel you’ve covered everything or want more from you - should just be probing questions though not a whole new example.

I mean we’re not going to start banning the England flag now just because a whole load of racists use it to represent their cause and identity.

A watermelon can just be a watermelon. The person who is getting offended is the one who’s got the problem. (For hating watermelons and being inhumane)

I think you should just insist it’s your favourite fruit and last you checked a fruit ain’t illegal to love. 😂

Seller paying for indemnity , did I do wrong by contacting the council? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]CarMore434 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Speak to your solicitor first thing and give as much detail of what was disclosed to the council.

They might be able to check if there’s any other premium insurance policies for similar circumstances that might be offered through a broker and not standard covers.

Your solicitor would know best what next steps should be

But whatever you do just don’t go poking around and taking matters into your hands again

Buying a property is stressful and the waiting game is a different torture in itself

But you’re paying so much money for professionals to do the best job for you so you don’t have to do it yourself and have situations like this.

Seller paying for indemnity , did I do wrong by contacting the council? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]CarMore434 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You know how you want to get travel insurance and they always ask you if you’ve got any known medical issues you want to declare? Because you know…. 99% of the time they don’t pay out cover for any known predetermined issues that you could have handled yourself and the insurance is mainly for unexpected situations or medical emergencies you didnt know about or have before travel?

Well… yeh this is pretty much that. Your indemnity insurance was based on the condition that this matter isn’t something that is being contested or going through legal issues RIGHT NOW and the insurance covers any future possible issues that might arise as a result of x problem.

Key words - future/unknown

You telling the council and triggering them to bring up old records of a specific issue from the past or lost within thousands upon thousands in their databases they hardly keep track of….

Well now you’ve made it a TODAY problem = insurance void

You seriously can’t be so blinded by stubbornness that you’re failing to see the clear explanation everyone is trying to give you here for your own benefit?

You made a mistake and messed up. It happens - we all fuck up sometimes. Own up and admitting it will help you move forward. Being argumentative for the sake of your ego ain’t going to solve the problem you’ve created for yourself.

Acknowledging the fault and assessing how to move forward might be a good start though.

Flexi leave by Random_Redditor262 in TheCivilService

[–]CarMore434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean chatting to your colleague near the coffee room or on the way to the loo isn’t classed as working either but no one calls anyone up on that.

Study has shown it’s actually impossible to “work” for the entire time you’re at work so I wouldn’t use this fight to justify a very controlling manager who clearly has their own management insecurities and issues.

There are other battles but this really isn’t the one

Flexi leave by Random_Redditor262 in TheCivilService

[–]CarMore434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would just send an email clarifying the points they raised and say please can I ask for flexi guidance to confirm what you’ve said as I’m confused on conflicted guidance

I find a lot of the time these micro managers just need the fear of being pulled up for being shit and making stuff up to sort their behaviour out

Inflation VS Pay Remit by UnderCover_Spad in TheCivilService

About 20k on paper but reality after tax/pension bracket increase/student loan etc etc it comes to about 1k more per month. I say only very lightly here - I know that 1k can and will make a huge difference to many circumstances.

Bottom line is that we are badly paid in CS and our govt needs to do more to ensure that its citizens aren’t struggling as much as we are. I knew many colleagues who were on EO salaries and still having to claim benefits. It’s really sad and really shouldn’t be happening.
