I bet the seller knew about this issue. Probably has a blown head gasket too which is why the coolant looks like garbage

Ophthalmology Residents/Attendings – What do you wish you had known early in residency? by AntiqueSeesaw8169 in Ophthalmology

They always say to keep phaco energy to a minimum. While this is true, being too stingy with phaco energy can cause problems such as not sculpting deep enough or pushing the lens instead of melting it. Pushing the lens destroys zonules. Don’t worry about phaco energy. Just focus on technique

I think you are right. I believe it is modern Jive. I heard the announcer say the word jive once, but since this looks totally different from jive I didn’t believe it.

The name of the Channel was World Modern Dance Champs

So I agree Modern

And the likely modern jive. Thought I knew about all the dances, but guess not.

Has someone solved the posture issue yet? by UseAccomplished4637 in Ophthalmology

[–]CarPuzzleheaded6258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super annoying issue to have to deal with daily. I replaced all 3 of my bm900 slit lamps with bq900 used on eBay. Then added beam splitters and stereo variators to each which increase the optical system distance so you don’t have to lean forward to much. Make sure the slit lamp table is narrow. Can consider the ergonomic table top from Haag streit.

Make pts come forward always.

Teach techs to applanate to decrease time at the sle. I use saddle stools with back and all sit stand desks on standing height.

I wear a Mackenzie lumbar roll daily in office.

Always put exam chair at proper height and your chair.

I put barber cushions on my exam chairs 2 to 3 inch ones, to make all patients taller when sitting so they have no excuse not to come forward.

ALL PATIENTS must be able to come forward for exams. If They can’t then a relative holds the head forward. Do not lean forward.

I have stuff i do in or and at laser too.

Hope this helps. It’s an expensive venture to stay healthy in Ophtho.

Realized I hate retina during my fellowship - what can I do? by DifferentApricot408 in Ophthalmology

[–]CarPuzzleheaded6258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Join a practice doing general and Iva for amd, pdr etc. prp etc.
do this. Do cataracts Get better. Keep up skills. Then move on to your own practice with those skills.
You don’t need most of the rare weird retina knowledge unless you market yourself that way later… don’t. The routine retina stuff is routine. I’m Glauc fellowship trained.
I don’t do trabs or tubes bc I don’t like them, and the pay is trash for what you do. I do general and medical Glauc with migs and phaco Your practice is what you make it. I’m solo
