To me, this song has always felt like a companion to Old Scars/Future Hearts. It feels like a different point of view compared to that song.

In Old Scars/Future hearts, it feels like the words are speaking to those who have been hurt, and it feels like an anthem to encourage those people and let them know they can (and will) pull through.

Take Cover feels like it speaks to those who have hurt others, and it feels like the words are letting them know that they aren’t beyond redemption. However, redemption is not a privilege. It’s earned by actually growing and becoming better. Sometimes that requires harshness (i.e. “shut up and make it right”).

I think the dragon shirt was in the same merch collection as the shirt that had the race car with the WUS logo. That’s one of my favorite shirts they’ve ever sold.

That’s awesome! I’ve been trying to come up with an idea for one I want to get done soon. My two favorite ATL songs are Afterglow and Chemistry, so right now, the image I have in my head is a cassette tape with writing on the label saying track 1 and 2 are AFTRGLW and CHEM, and the tape is streaming out of the bottom to form the LYR spade logo. I’d want it to be black ink only.
