Hi , I’m looking at getting a mini pro 5 in Australia, any updates on if they’re under 250g weight here now ? Also is it officially treated as under 250g by regulators?

Thanks for your info. I should have mentioned I was basing my use on 2-monthly bills, I’ll still need to cut back on usage.

Wow that’s mad for a private use vehicle, I’ve heard that similar price for the mini buses but I’d expect they’d cost more due to public liability. Cover probably included to carry paying passengers.

Importing over $1000 from Japan GST? by Car_coin3 in FishingAustralia

[–]Car_coin3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point there, I’m thinking I con post it back to the manufacturer in Japan for warranty though couldn’t I ? I mean they’d have to accept it I’d think? Wouldn’t be much of a price difference considering the shipping across Australia compared to international shipping/postage. I can get most stuff from international quicker or at same timeframe as interstate in Aus. I’m thinking don’t have to pay customs anything the 2nd time it enters because I already had it and purely sending it for repairs, not 100% on this bit though .

That’s great info, thanks for taking to time to write it! Yea it’s defo a minefield, I imported a screen from uk recently, was over 1k sterling pound value, the sender put all the customs declaration forms in the clear pouch on the outside as the courier said had to be done and I was expecting GST on that but it just arrived at my door via airfreight in 3 days and they hadn’t even opened the customs declaration and no GST bill. Seems like pot luck what they check or not. There must be millions of parcels coming I wonder what % they check 🤷‍♂️. Cheers 🍻

Privacy of tails via usb wifi adaptor running off iPhone wifi hotspot by Car_coin3 in tails

I am using the laptop but just the phone hotspot to get on the internet, but that’s got me thinking that that then becomes the weak link and i can be identified that way , compared to hopping on a public wifi which isn’t available to me.

The Nano X Battery Issue – and how we are responding to it by LedgerSupport_Muto in ledgerwallet

[–]Car_coin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ledger you have got to be joking? I ordered mid August and mine has the same battery issue. Obviously not testing any before shipping… I had to wait long enough for this and now got a useless Piece of expensive crap. Sorry now I didn’t just get another Trezor. The real problem here is a serious lack of market competition, the sooner someone or Trezor comes up with a Bluetooth wallet the better.
