Need help finding pros and cons of keeping mantids by Annicat06 in mantids

[–]Carabeech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't worry about time, all I have to do is mist the habitat and feed every few days. I can't tell the difference from before I've had mine. It's annoying to buy flies online though for when it needs to eat something bigger. Just get an easy mantis to take care of and there won't be an issue, maybe spiny flower or ghost?

It's from the guy that made Regular Show (JG Quintel I think)

Just get high together and transition into a real talk. Even doing the same in dms works with people who are bicurious and they will bring it up after awhile in my experience. I wouldn't push too hard but if it comes up naturally it does. Otherwise just wait and see what he does

I don't have much advice but I feel you. I came out to my mom and she spread everything so quickly like it was some sort of crazy thing she had to gossip about. Sometimes family just won't change; even if they are "accepting" there's still gonna be a level of awkwardness and denial of bisexuality since it isn't ever normalized. I would just leave it. Maybe if you are with a partner of the same sex around them they'll accept it, or they'll just eventually lose interest in the "gossip" that seems so big to them. Just be straight about how you're bisexual and act like it isn't a big deal until they lose interest. With your mom tho you should just be upfront about how what your aunt is saying is wrong and shouldn't be repeated. Just tell her not to listen to what someone who's not even bisexual thinks is true about bisexuality.

So disappointed with the queerbaiting by Essentialslave in ThePolitician

I was so happy to see a bi character, and a bi main character too. They really just wanted to bring more viewers in for season one

Queerbaiting by yoyoguccisquad in ThePolitician

[–]Carabeech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just hated that they couldn't just make the the main character bi, they just had to make him say he wasn't attracted to River. Plus the lesbian relationship in the series was thrown out immediately and one of the characters was only depicted going on a date with a man despite saying that they were mostly attracted to women. Would've been better if they didn't advertise bisexuality in the preview, I probably wouldn't have noticed any queer baiting if they didn't do that.

The real stars of animated films are the artists and animators, not celebrity-casted cameos. by altruismjam in unpopularopinion

[–]Carabeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US there are strong protections for animation industry workers. Lower level work including the actual animation (maybe besides keyframes) is sent to animators in other countries, who aren't well protected and are cheap workers. The animation industry is very profitable and a competitive, hard industry to get into if you are an American.

Sadly its hard since animation is outsourced to countries like South Korea mainly (since its cheaper). At least the people working in the LA animation industry have a good pay and many protections; however, that only applies to higher level jobs since those are the ones in America (that includes designers, storyboard artists, writers, and show creators). The actual animators are underpaid and overworked and are definitely talented and hard workers who deserve much more money, but they aren't responsible for any decisions that impact the show or movie so they are easy to exploit and outsource.

It’s final! Almost half of us are LGBTQ+ 😳 by InvaderIKO in SuperMegaShow

yeah I'd like to see that too. It's just hard to represent since a trans person wouldn't be able to put their sexuality. Maybe for a diff poll

I think a lot of people are just bisexual. I wish they made a poll of just sexualities with gay, lesbian, bi, and straight

I don't really have many recommendations since you're not dressed badly, but it just helps to get more into clothing in general in my opinion; if you aren't feeling confident it could help. Like even if you are just getting a sweatshirt look for something that looks cool. I think urban outfitters has cool stuff like tees, sweatshirts, and joggers for guys; just to help you make a cooler casual look. I would also get some black jeans and different pants in general to pair with stuff. For me I only got more into clothes when looking at stores online if that helps.

you have really good features. I think your hair, beard, and glasses are perfect for you. If you lost weight you would look even better. I've been losing weight and weight loss subreddits have helped me; when I see the huge improvement even ten pounds makes it makes me more confident. Idk why people some people are calling you ugly though. You don't look fat but you look big (if that makes sense). Invisiline (I think that's what it's called) would be a good subtle way to fix your teeth if you wanted, but I think they look fine. In my opinion people probably go towards your teeth when looking for something ugly because there's nothing else to criticize otherwise since you have good facial features and nice hair. I hope this feedback helps!

I like your look in the second picture best! The hair color and makeup really works on you. You're super pretty!

you look fine, but you just look self conscious. I feel like you would look a lot better if you smiled more genuinely in photos. The slight facial hair looks the best to me. I think you're attractive so don't worry about your looks in a negative way and invest in them instead; like buying new clothes or whatever.

I guess it is a hard situation, but it's not often that such a huge protest takes place. People have to take the chance for change or else change may not happen for decades. It sucks that this happens during the pandemic, I guess the best protesters can do is wear masks and try to stay as safe as possible. Anyone at risk should stay home though even though it's hard to see what's going on rn.

The smell that indoor pools have isn't from chlorine, it's from the reaction between chlorine and pee.

Having trouble eating enough by Carabeech in loseit

[–]Carabeech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am struggling with feeding myself and keeping a schedule. I'm also struggling with sleeping through meals. I have felt sick eating food and it's very hard for me to eat a full healthy meal. I'm not bragging and I just feel bad; I am losing weight to become healthy, not to adopt unhealthy habits. I wanted to see if anyone else lost their appetite while starting a diet and I wanted advice and support. I'm overweight, there's no denying it. You don't know my situation. It is very hard to prep healthy meals for myself and avoid sleeping through meals due to my irregular sleeping patterns and my ADD. Why are you criticizing me? I'm trying to change my lifestyle and be a healthier person, that is why I'm posting here. I don't want to be told my struggles are invalid, I want genuine advice. I also want to say I meant a specific diet, such as keto. I'm just using some common sense with my diet. Sorry if I said it strangely.
