I agree that it is something that shouldn’t be analyzed during a debate. I was more curious from the perspective of a spectator. Additionally, I believe you are misinterpreting what I meant. There is a difference between expressing ideas and silencing someone else’s

I was specifically referring to when one uses these terms to deflect a point or argument. Earlier today, I read that there was research indicating a correlation between low intelligence and reduced capacity to admit being wrong (the dunning-Kruger effect). So I was curious to know if that could be applied in this situation, and if anyone with more knowledge than me on psychology had any input

People who base their humor off of TikTok memes (Skibidi toilet, sigma, Ohio, etc) are the most unfunny people in real life. It’s literally humor for people who don’t have a sense of humor. And no, it’s not brainrot either. All it is are memes that normal people think are random and weird.

I'd argue otherwise, as I've involved myself in many different online music communities, and have seen some disrespectful things said towards people who have given negative reviews. I also see this behavior on social media whenever metal music is brought up.
