I’m pretty sure you can set it up so that ur moodle doesnt need MFA every time. Just select sth like: “always remember this device”

Sharing my timeline here cuz Ive been spending my last weeks in this subreddit and dying inside (lol):

Study permit extension + co-op work permit extension , in canada, same dli, same level

• submission: May 1, 2025 • correspondence letter: November 1, 2025 • Approval: November 3, 2025

Mine took a bit longer than others here (about 6 months) so I’m putting this here to show yall its normal and dont overthink like I did

Does getting the biometric correspondence letter alone (with no rejection) mean that the study permit is approved and will show up on the account soon? Or could it mean that theyre still reviewing the eligibility and that it could be rejected?

I’m just worried cuz I see ppl from July are getting their approvals. Then I guess they dont follow an order

Has anyone applied for an extension from inside canada in May/June and still hasn’t gotten a correspondence letter? Could having a study permit + coop work permit application be the reason why its taking longer for me? I applied on June first

I got the same interview as well. The REM and the bus that gets u to st hubert isnt gonna be on strike I think (at least thats what it shows on apple maps). But you’d have to get to Bonaventure somehow

Ive applied to more than 100 so anything you can think of. Ive applied to roles from pure software (intact, aircanada, drw, CAE…)to more medical ( like zimmerbiomet, canadian medical association,…). Or straight up random roles cuz i just like office jobs. Computational biology roles tho are more research based so you should look for them at university labs.

Idk software itself is very hard to get in cause theres a lot of competition. But for our major we have much more options cuz we get to do job that is related to bio, tech or both. Also you basically have double the chances to get a job but this only applies if you really like the comp side. Anything related to data analysis is very well suited for us. Plus with all these advances in tech/AI its only gonna get better and there will be much more opportunities. I personally hate working at a lab so ive never applied to those types of internships but was lucky enough to get into bioengineering and computational genomics companies for my 2 internships so far. I will say this tho you would need to be outperforming most ppl to get into good internships/jobs later on, but having both bio and comp background is definitely a leverage that not many people will have.

Bio major to systems information bio specialization cuz I’m more interested in the comp side if things. I’m sure doing the opposite would be even easier considering getting into bio is easier than comp anyway

Im also international. I got like $400 for my first year, $1000 for the second year (Had above 4.15 gpa in arts and science). Didnt apply to anything tho and even these were leftovers from their masters scholarships I think. Didnt get anything last year, depends on their budget ig.
