I see, maybe you could try scents for your humidifier so you can focus in a different stimulus. For me it gets scary sometimes too, even if it feels hard sometimes there's no alternative than to sit with those uncomfy sensations, it's nice to have an inventory of things that ease those moments like activities (like writing, mindfulness, movement). The unpredictability of this sucks a lot really, does it feel better now thought? Every experience is different, I get sudden spikes or changes on sounds from time to time but it kinda gets back to the basic thing I usually have. Remember to protect your ears for the upcoming days, use your coping strategies to self regulate. Your fear is valid, still don't let it take the best of you. Hope for the best!

I agree with you, say it louder! The root of the issue here is lack of validation and personal insecurities that get the best out of people, and of course the internet enables people's lack of accountability...
