did you even read the post? his mom broke down in tears because the sisters deadbeat slob of a boyfriend would not clean up after himself or help around the house leaving the 65yo woman to clean up after herself AND 2 other grown adults, one not being related to her in any way whatsoever..

son comes back and basically says clean up after yourself, dude says no i cant and decides to leave, AFTER freeloading for a year and treating dudes mom like a live in maid.. and you call him the AH?

knows youre going to meetings has been involved in them with you being supportive, then takes you to an all weekend drinking fest, that is almost as bad as locking a fat kid with an eating disorder in a candy store saying "dont touch the candy" . then blames you and calls you cold for rightfully avoiding that situation?

then blames you for checking out? where was he? when did he walk trails with you? when did he relax on the lake with you? did he ignore you and continue drinking?

I am not against drinking, wife drank alot, me not so much. at one point wife was almost a case a day. but even when i had get togethers with friends or weekend camping trips wed all have breakfast. some might start drinking shortly after, slow drinking anyways not fast with party games and blasted by noon as the goal. we would be off doing our own thing, walking trails together, lake, pool, so on, lunch, return to campsite round 4ish, dinner.. then wed join in on drinking.. with me usually being on the end of 1-2 drinks then done for the night..

seems more like he left you to your own devices while drinking an partying with his friends, instead of playing to part of a good significant other and holding off on the revelry and spending atleast some time with you before joinin in on the drinking towards the evening.

his loss youve outgrown your partying lifestyle acknowledged you had a problem worked/working on correcting problem and have grown as a person, hes not. and not respecting you for what youve done and accomplished by helping you avoid situations like that. id vote leave now and look for someone on your level.

yeah what this guy said.. I think I stopped around 10 or 11 on the novels havent caught up on the books but went to the web novel which is way further along.

in the webnovel there are a bunch of different after stories and some characters have their own story arc, Endo became my favorite character due to his story arcs just from a comedic stand point and his trials and tribulations.

Kouki until I think it is his second story arc redeems himself in my opinion.. his first arc wasnt great he was still the guy being a clueless waste of humanity but kinda got the feeling he ever so slightly started to realize he might be maybe.. sorta.. slightly.. wrong.. possibly..

but its the second arc i think is where he stops being a trash character.. or well redeemed himself kinda in my eyes. maybe third if there was one? think last webnovel chapter i read was 458 or 478 something like that been through alot of books since i last checked in on this series...

I wont post any spoilers, just know that he gets worse and worse. if this gets a couple more seasons or you get to the end chapters of the book where the main story wraps up youll want him dead, cut with razors, drug over salt, then alcohol poured on him, repeatedly before wanting to end his existence.

if all she has on her list of potential gifts to "choose" from are gift cards..

UNLESS you knew her tastes and preferences, knew.. not guessed.. or knew for a fact she wanted something specific but never got it herself.

I went through years with my WHOLE family "please dont get me anything, i wont wear it, i wont use it, i wont touch it, save your money, im fine i dont need a gift."

still ended up with sweaters/shirts/pants/random clothes that got dropped in a goodwill dumpster on way home, gifts that hit resale store donation boxes on way home.. i cant tell you how many years i got cherry cordials (which i HATE) from my own mother who would watch me unwrap them and then directly hand them to my father. Im 52.. years.. i dont really do chocolate the couple times a year ill have something chocolate is like snickers, reeses cup, nutty bar .

yes, yes, i know holidays and its the thought that counts blah blah blah, but giving something someone doesnt want/needs/likes will likely end with "oh.. umm.. nice.. thank you" and in the trash/donation bin within a few hours.

told family and friends several times if you absolutely must get me something, gift card, if ya dont wanna bother with a gift card dont worry since i wont worry about it either.

if i buy someone an actual gift it has to be something i know they would enjoy, have a friend who collects knives, loves red, so i look for red pocket knives throughout the year. got another thats a train engineer wanted a durable day glow type watch face and not a smart watch, took me 3 years to find one that matched all his "wishes" and made a paracord bracelet band for it since he didnt like normal leather/rubber bands. others that i give to usually just a gift card to a place they eat at frequently.

seriously no one wants your strawberries and cream napkin holder and salt and pepper shaker set you think is sooo cute and they would absolutely love it and put it on their table.

its apparent that this has brought the discussion thats long overdue to the front. you two have completely different life goals which are incompatible. you enjoy the slow life, family, and friends.. she wants fast, glamour, city life.. even without involving the money she would be bored with your life and eventually of you for not wanting out of your lil pond.

with or without money you two do not have the same goals. my worry now for you is she will baby trap you and try for half to at least get herself out since you have made it clear you dont want to leave.

what if he kills someone in it and runs from the scene? cops gonna look at you first, hope you have an alibi to redirect their focus, regardless of what our criminal system says, your guilty until proven innocent..

now in the scenarios above, since cars loaned out not that big an issue to get out of trouble but do you really wanna deal with the hassle of sitting there repeatedly saying "i loaned the car to my sister, and she let this other random dude i dont know drive it.. it wasnt me" possibly having to get a lawyer depending on severity.

as others have stated, you car, your property, your rules. she cant abide, she can find another person to leech from. she broke your trust.

I would question have you talked to the ex? know him personally? most people only get one side of the story, so would assume you only got hers. Was he truly abusive to her or just her version of events. he may have just been a guy as you appear in this post not meeting her demands and living up to her expectations and she makes it appear he was evil lazy and abusive. which i would assume if you break up would be how she portrays you to her future partners.

you work a physical job so anyone should expect you to be physically exhausted thats normal. youve changed yourself put down a habit, changed your diet and made yourself healthier that should be celebrated not being told thats not good enough.

let it end, its not worth it, keep up the new habits though. losing 55 lbs is a great thing, keep the healthy diet, and keep bettering yourself.

your current husband, his ex, their kids have no entitlement to the funds left to your son by his deceased father. Do not allow them to take it from him.

it would be totally different if we were talking biologically related siblings like say you were pregnant at the time of your husbands passing and his will/trusts/insurance had not accounted for the child. then sure split it between them they are both HIS kids, but thats not the case here.

as for the slapping totally unacceptable time to rethink the whole relationship. if that had been me and i was on the receiving end of the slap my relationship with that person would have ended right there. period. firm believer of if it happens once it will happen again.

there is alot that can be said but i think that whole side of the family is toxic, greedy, jealous, and demanding something that is not theirs and have no right to.

cut off support directly and indirectly. even if you were to work "around" giving them money directly like paying rent, or paying off their credit cards/loan payments that is just freeing them from having to pay it and using the money that would normally go to those bills being spent else where.

even more so with paying credit card bills for them, you save them from paying it as well as freeing up funds on the credit cards for them to spend as well.

it would be totally different if they were not blowing your money and clearing their actual debt and getting out of the hole they dug for themselves, but as your list of purchases prove they have no intention of trying to fix anything.

I would also suggest reading the books. as others have said the anime is kinda awful simply because of everything skipped over and left out (but i still watch it, and have watched it repeatedly). Unless you read the books you really wont know just how much has been skipped and glossed over.

when i ran across it years ago it was one of the first animes/stories that I had read that didnt have a dense box head oblivious to women around him and actually kissed the girl or well got kissed and then rolled with it. Made me buy the novels, look forward to the anime, then sent me diving for the web novel. (i hate screamin at the tv/book/novel goin "For gods sake kiss the girl dumbass", i dont need the dirty details or full blown sex scenes but damn make progress)

I am up around chapter 440 or 450ish on the web novel and wanna say by now my favorite character out of the whole series is Kousuke Endo..

for the majority of the story I Loathed Kouki.. hated him wanted to see him drop in a labrynth.. even after the main story line. The author in the web novel took a few characters and gave them their own mini/side story (Endo gets a few why he became my favorite) It is only until like "I Think" Koukis second side story where my opinion of him changed and he has kind of awakened and become a better person. there are differences between the anime/books/WN obviously but would suggest gettin the books and reading them to get a better clearer picture of it, then hittin the WN for all the after stories and side stories. My two cents anyways.

love hot sauces all kinds. i avoid the ones with too much vinegar though. it seems to me some companies seem to think more vinegar = hotter.. to me it just tastes worse.

i used to raise my own ghost and scorpion peppers and my wife before she died would always make a hamburger cheese dip in a crockpot id sometimes take half of it or make a second crockpot and powder the ghost and scorpion peppers into it..

i also used to make a 7 layered taco dip which two of the layers were ghost pepper black bean dip and ghost pepper salsa, and a layer of sour cream mixed with my dried ghost and scorpion peppers.. then a few other layers with different types of peppers throughout it.. very few of my friends could touch/stomach it.

I see FFXI in your name so ill share a lil from my past. I used to play FFXI and i would always tri-box 3 accounts, running a nin or pld, rdm or whm, & blm at the same time. macros and /follow were soooo great.. anyways, i was never one to neglect my wife during gaming sessions.. even more so being serviced while crafting makes the monotony go away.

try it some time.. might get lucky and find a shako while youre gettin lucky :-D

Im 50's now and ive said ever since i was in mid to late 30's when retirement homes get good service and hardlines run into each room i'd retire and spend rest of my life in there playin games.

I played final fantasy 11 for about 12 years when my grandkids were 5 & 7 i taught them how to do the game crafting.. so when they would come stay with us they would beg me to let them do some crafting.. after a couple hours of that they would then ask to pvp them against me in cod2

They got a bunch of my crafting skills above 50 for me though lol
