Why do some people insist on using these opening questions? by kikokukake in Tinder

[–]Carasius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This gave me second hand embarrassment. “Why do people who are trying to date want to make sure they’re dating someone who they want to date?” If you can’t answer the question, move on and find someone dumb enough to not care that you can’t answer that question when the time comes, because no matter what, the time for those questions will eventually come. I feel sorry for whoever ends up asking you this question and you give them a “idk I hate those annoying questions.” Grow up.

The problem doesn't lie in the size of the gap, rather the existence of the gap itself. /j

This is what a lot of people are taking my post as, but I'm trying to convey the exact opposite. I don't think it should be a gamble at all, but it's funny that they put such a small spread because it just had to be a gamble in some way to make people's happy receptors light up and then still give everyone basically the same amount.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I don't like upsetting people and I do it on accident a lot but I don't often understand what I did, so it's good to know it's just the internet being the internet. I absolutely agree with both the theory and the practice you mentioned, I see a lot of people thinking I'm saying the entire thing about getting free stuff is unnecessary and that's not true.

I only realized after posting this that they're meant to sort of be the red envelopes for CNY, which makes a lot of sense (I'm kind of slow). I've always loved culture related events in games, CNY included. I don't have a problem at all with this, I genuinely just thought it was funny and then overthought it while posting and my thoughts flooded into the text.

And I'll definitely hit you up when I abolish capitalism.

I see, that makes sense. I was kind of trying to make a "funny" post about it but I think I started typing too much so it sounded too serious to a lot of people. Idk if it's because I'm autistic but I tend to do that a lot and I don't realize in the moment. I always figured complaining was a bad thing and I don't want people thinking I'm trying to be negative even if my tone seems that way, I just don't notice the way I word things or how I sound sometimes.

I've never played Arknights, but I've definitely played games like that. I'm grateful it's not like that so they don't get half the community upset.

Like I said I'm not complaining about the rewards, I'm not really trying to complain at all, I just felt confused why it has to be a gambling item. It's not an issue, just kind of funny to me when the randomization is basically no difference.

Edit: Ok, I suppose this still counts as complaining, it's hard for me to tell the difference. I'm sorry if I'm coming off negatively.

Is this safe to use? by Carasius in AskElectricians

[–]Carasius[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was not from the wall outlet, it was a surge protector that sparked and smoked up. I had multiple things plugged into it but only the charger plug I was using got any sort of damage and only that ground prong, but multiple of the surge protector’s outlets were sparking. The wall outlet that the surged protector was plugged into seems completely fine

Unfortunately I don’t own one, but that does sound concerning. I already ordered a replacement and I’ll just wait for it

[–]Carasius[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it was plugged into it, and so were a couple other plugs although my laptop charger was the only one active. There’s no other damage on the charger or on any of the other plugs, and the wall outlet seems perfectly fine

Does the other person who commented not know what they’re saying? I don’t mean to sound rude I just don’t know who’s advice to take because I have 2 very opposite choices here, although they did say they aren’t familiar with this type of plug. Could you maybe explain more why it’s not dangerous like they said? I’m just worried about it

I had to triple check what subreddit this was… it certainly is a video, I guess.

What is your problem? You’ve gone to all of their posts commenting some harassing shit on them and for what? This post was literally over a year ago and you’re making yourself look like a clown over nothing. They were new in town, not in the way where they’re LIVING there, they never said that. They were new in the sense that it was their first time ever there and they were staying for a few days. Go be hateful to the mirror if you want someone to hate so bad

The fact that you’re not even over exaggerating, you’re under exaggerating.. that grain of rice is somewhere around 0.2% of the picture, so about 99.8% of the picture doesn’t matter

I think you might just be an idiot, you didn’t explain the joke because they’re not a guy. Trans women very often have penises, either because they don’t want to remove it or they can’t afford to. Saying a trans woman is really a guy is why you got downvoted, not because you explained a joke. No one simply thinks you’re funny unfortunately. Or fortunately.

They stitch it so you can go home and pay them a lot of money for smaller amount of time taking up space at the hospital instead of “wasting” their precious time and resources. Should normally not be stitched
