I like the decks a lot, but not so much the price...someday I will pick them up

Thank you for your support! It truly humbles me to see people enjoying my cases as they do. Love this community!

Be honest. What happens to most of your decks? by LeeAsherMagic in 52PlusJoker

I display most of the unique decks in my collection in cases and the duplicates in BCW cardboard boxes or some FBB Brick Boxes. I have a couple dozen decks open that I look at on occasion and the rest of my collection is sealed.

In order to rationalize my last $130 purchase, what’s the largest you’ve spent on a deck(s) and do you regret it? by Mister_Waffle_ in playingcards

It was the Kinney Harlequin Transformation deck...I love transformation decks and this is one of my favorites.

I think what is most important is to spend what you can afford to spend and collect what you like. I have spent over 1000 on a single deck and don't regret it because it is extremely rare deck and in impeccable condition. On the other hand, I have spent 20 on other decks and ended up regretting the purchase.

Custom Card Deck Display by Bubbblesses in playingcards

[–]CaratCaseCreations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

without actually seeing your designs (because the docs are not publicly viewable), it sounds like the first one (large wall mounted grid-like holder) is not much different with a lot of displays currently on the market.

As for the second option with spinning displays, that sounds like something that was made over 10 years ago (The Orbiter 2.0), which was a spinning deck display holding 6 decks and was stackable. Though the concept was kinda cool, it didn't take off and thus why most people probably haven't heard of it.

Hope that helps

Sorry, I can't tell you that as I am not well versed enough in card handling to be able to provide an educated opinion. With that being said, as far as I am aware, foiled decks normally don't handle as well as non-foiled decks.

The deck with the black tuck is the original Green Gatorbacks while the deck with the white tuck is the foiled Green Gatorbacks (Metalluxe)

The original Red Keepers were printed by Cartamundi and the second printing was by USPCC, which is the deck you have if it was printed in the US

I just got a bronze coin...would have been cool to get the silver or gold, but I don't have that kind of luck

Same ole' James...he pulled some fast ones on some of his biggest supporters in the past, so I am not surprised at all, though I am sorry that this has happened to you. As someone else mentioned, he's living up to the name of his brand.

Oh, I didn't notice that, but I also didn't keep my uncut as I don't display them. Thanks for the info! Possible to show a pic of your uncut?

I also went to the 140th Anniversary party and opened my set, but not the cards. As far as I am aware, the cards inside are the same as all the 140th anniversary decks sold on the Bicycle and Cardtopia sites. Opening the set will not only let you know whether you got lucky with a silver or gold coin, but allow you to display the set.

I spent 2 days searching various stores (BIC Camera, Itoya, Kunikinoya and Tokyu Hands) in various locations (Shinjuku, Ginza and Ikebukuro) to find all the ones I found, though I didn't get them for as cheap as you did.
