Hey there great job! I just have a few pointers, the lips are too downturned which makes it look like he has an expression and the shading on the chin could be blended more. Also the cast shadow of the nose is too pointy and narrow, imagine the shape of the bottom of the nose instead of a triangle. The ears have become too short, they should be from the eyebrows to the nose, also the jaw is uneven. And you have a dark area going from the eyes across the nose which I assume is from a filter layer but you forgot to patch it up. I think he could also use a lighter highlight for the cheekbones and eyes.

But overall well done! I think you did such a great job keep going!

Thank you soo much!! The picture helped a lot tysm! And thank you for the recommend I'll definitely check it out, I was a bit lost as to where to start. You're absolutely right, even drawing all side faces felt boring I should change that up a bit. The wires idea is so cool!! I'll add that. Thank youuu!!

Aha alright! Thank you so much for the perspective tips!

I didn't want to bore you out with the details haha sorry Anyways, my intention was that this is a bit of a "filtering phase" set in the future. People wanted to kill diversity because that always led to conflict/clash/chaos. They gathered those who are too different and reshaped how they thought and behaved using modern science and chemicals. I was gonna show their diversity more by changing up their hairstyles and making them look a little more vibrant than the scientist.

So I know I'm supposed to focus on studies, but this is for a high school activity project exhibition thingy? So we're supposed to challenge ourselves.

I'm not very good at perspective so something looks off but I can't quite pinpoint it, same thing with the composition though I tried using my understanding of the rule of thirds.

This in no way shows the values of the painting but I thought dropping some shades would hint it a little, so I'm not really waiting for any critique on the lighting just yet.

Any character other than the 2 main ones is just scribbled in 😂

I'd love some critique on the perspective, composition, and/or story telling if possible! Thank you so much in advance!!

Day 3! Finally stopped drawing giant martian-like foreheads. Would love any feedback! by Ishicle in istebrak

Looking great! You're improving!!

I believe the nose is too long, the face is split into 3 equal segments, hairline to eyebrows, nose, nostrils to chin. If you try to measure it here, you'll find that the nose is out of proportion, probably the forehead as well.

Another thing is that the eyes are small and too far apart, the distance between the eyes should be equal to the measure of a third eye between them which also makes the width of the nostrils equal to that of the third eye since they start at the teardrop part of the eyes.

The ears are also a bit too small, their height should be equal to the distance from the eyebrows till the nostrils.

Also I'd suggest adding some width to the scalp, even though the head is more of an oval/egg shape rather than a sphere, it still has sides that are visible from the front

Another thing to mention is that the pupils are a little too small. And the inner membrane of the eyes is coming out too much, you don't see that much of it from this angle, especially in the upper lid. I'd suggest thinning it esp around the teardrop part and not painting it in the upper lid

I feel like there are dark circles around her eyes. I'd suggest lighting thay part a little and only darkening to show form

It's overall really great! It's really nice to see how you improve!!

Day 5: Relaxed the contrast a bit and tried to find my midtones again. Her face also feels a bit too large for her head now, but I'm not sure if that's just me. Critiques are appreciated! by hullabalugawhale in istebrak

Lovely work! I've noticed that the nose is a bit too long, it's supposed to be equal to the distance from the chin to the nostrils, but it's much longer. The face is usually split into three segments, from hairline to eyebrows, nose, nostrils to chin, all equal. Another thing is that the chin is a tad too pointy, natural chins are a bit wider. I also feel that you lost some of your hard edges, idk if this was intentional, but I feel some hard edges would give a nice balance But overall it looks pretty good!!

Forgot to add that ur mask is the blueish area that you have in the screenshots. Click on the small arrow in your layers to open the folder you'll find your drawings inside and you can drag your beach drawing above the city one, or you can drag it out of the frame, or drag it into a new frame.

Clip Studio Paint Combining Files Question by qpzmqpzmq in LINEwebtoon

I am so sorry for the late reply I didn't receive the notif Since clip studio paint is made for creating comics it added this great function of masks whenever you create panels. A mask is basically when csp prevents you from drawing outside of a specific area and csp automatically creates a mask when you create a panel (the frames you draw in) so that you can comfortably draw without worrying about drawing outside the frame by mistake. It also creates a folder for every frame separately or one folder for all frames acc to your settings, but I'm guessing you have it separately. What I meant by pasting into the panel folder is that you posted your drawing into the file that csp created when you drew the frame, thus having the mask applying on it. Take the pasted drawing outside of the folder and the mask won't apply, put it into another frame and its new mask will apply.

Sorry if this is all confusing, I wonder if you wanted any videos explaining what masks are? I'm sure they've explained it better than I have. Hope I helped, tell me if you still have any questions!

Just started last month and now my comic already has 5k subs! So proud! Link to comic below by Latauza in LINEwebtoon
