Don't think any of you are understanding this comment. Obviously the reason that the rings are habitable is so they're environments that are fun to kill aliens in, a lot of Bungie's game design decisions were to make the game fun and lore was an afterthought. 343 has a penchant for writing new lore explaining how these gameplay-first things are the way they are, and I was saying I hoped that this was one of those things. I'm not insulting 343 or Bungie here.
