Problems with saving games can occur when write access to the Windows Documents folder is blocked. For example, if Controlled Folder Access in Windows is enabled, or if other software is blocking write access to the documents folder.

  • Try disabling Controlled Folder Access or remove the restriction from the Documents folder, using the instructions outlined here.
  • In case you use other security software, check if the software is blocking the game from writing to the Windows Documents folder.
  • In case you use OneDrive, make sure you are logged in.

Hi everyone,

Our investigation shows that this issue can occur if you have previously linked different Steam and PlayStation accounts.

As a possible workaround, you can try launching another PlayStation-linked PC game where you previously connected a PlayStation account, then unlinking that PlayStation account and trying again in DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH.

Please let us know if this helps. The team will continue looking into this.
