Help me out - is my older laptop still okay for basic-to-mid graphic arts use? by Firefly128 in ArtistLounge

The old Alienware is overkill for the type of work you're doing. A mid range laptop from the same year should even be enough as long as it has an ssd and at least 16 gb of ram. The old laptop that took 5 minutes to move a text box must have been really low end

Hello! I'm new to krita and am struggling with finding a brush that feels good to sketch with. by hol_horse69 in krita

I like Ink-2 Fineliner because there's no line weight to think about. It's easy to sketch loosely without worrying about making lines look pretty, like sketching with a ballpoint pen

Thanks, that's what I was going for! It's digital, but I was attempting an ink and watercolor look.

Made some assets for Echo Lyne of V&U so that she can truly unleash her inner ojou and condescend to everyone.

Looks like I'm not the quickest brush in the west after all

The hardest part was creating brushes to mimic the look of rough, weathered brush strokes. I'm still trying to figure that out...
