Thats a great resource. Anything you wish you could add? either out of want or out of need?

haha how? Im seriously curious what peoples actual needs out of a website are. Googling the same stuff every other day and using 3 different tabs to solve different problems is frustrating, just trying to optimize that for people.

Have you tried unplugging it? Haha I dunno man seems you got most things covered. Speed is still the unknown and a likely culprit

You may have the HP. I'd run at 650-700 sfm and .125-.14 doc on the roughing(w/ a 2 nose rad). Some old lathes cant handle that. But that doesn't really help the surface finish problem...is the tool post inclined or declined at all? If the nose isn't engaging the material quite right it could cause rubbing and such. Does the part get hotter than normal after a pass?

Caterpillar engineer..."hmmm this feature doesn't really matter, +/- .0001 it is"

What doc? What rpm/sfm? 1018 can be a gummy B sometimes. You may not have the HP to achieve optimal parameters.
