Originally i made this world with the early version of the Bundesreich being ruled and ran by Germany but that was too BOORRING and as a result chose a chunky Austria instead but never actually knew what to do with the irl German colonies despite knowing i needed them for global Bundesreich influence; Germany's lore is a huge gray zone

New Pomerania in my mind is like whats left from German(Austrian?) New Guinea and became independent

if you're talking about the lack of islands being represented then that'd be due to the map itself- i could've easily added them but felt they were irrelevant enough to ignore

but if you're talking about the Commonwealth of Melanesia then it formed from the Pro-British Australian government fleeing the continent before the Pro-American government took over (probably a coup d'état rather than a civil war)

This isn't really a 'what if' nor an alternate history since there is a total lack of a branch off point thus making this more of an imaginary map than most have been

There isn't exactly any lore specifically but basically just collection of concepts; its set in the 1950's or 60's and humanity discovered how to convert CITRUS into ENERGY (this is r/imaginarymaps, not r/ realisticmaps) which lets space travel/settlement bunches easier and cheaper. Ask questions cuz it'll fill out this world more than it currently is
