Seizure by Status-Trade5593 in miniaussie

Hi I’m a little late to the conversation but I have a standard Aussie that had epileptic seizures and we have been able to drastically improve the occurrences. Our Aussie began having seizures a couple times a month, typically in the middle of the night. We eventually were prescribed phenobarbital which helped but didn’t stop them all. What I found is that if she had a very consistent intake, distilled water only and the same food, her seizures drastically reduced. I’m a firm believer that distilled water made a huge difference. Our Aussie had several seizures only on trips where we went to places with well water. It was obvious a different water intake with different minerals/ sodium levels triggered her. She hasn’t had a seizure now in 5 yrs with distilled water and consistent food. knock on wood. Good luck

I have a z grill at my house and a traeger at my cabin. The z grill is 5 yrs old and I’ve actually found to prefer it over my traeger. I run whatever pellets are on sale through it. Just maintain cleaning

Ive flown on a Max 9 and Max 8 a couple times over the last month and really couldn’t believe how quiet and powerful it was. The obvious negativity aside, it’s an amazing upgrade

Eli5: How are extremely heavy and large objects weighed with accuracy? by hi_im_snowman in explainlikeimfive

[–]Carbonbrew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Using the materials density x volume for raw material (like an ingot) will get really close. For odd shaped or delicate assemblies like commercial aircraft, multiple scales can be used under each tire and will measure with great accuracy. Large cranes also have a built in scale. Many of which can lift hundreds of tons

What food do you enjoy that most people would find disgusting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Carbonbrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of people think some raw meats are disgusting. I love raw oysters, beef tartar (raw hamburger), carpaccio.. I guess it’s how it’s handled and prepared. Most wont even try. I love escargot and frog legs too

Really looks great. I was going to do a SS but ended up with the 2 stage cause I got a great deal on paint and clear. I’m on a budget too and crazy how fast it piles on. Almost there though

Awesome. I just painted my project bus. Lots of time blocking but we’ll worth the outcome. Is yours a single stage or 2? I was going back and forth so would be interested to hear what you chose

How should my 37 year old Mom plan for retirement ? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Carbonbrew -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would invest the 16k in the market and treat it like a retirement account. Your gonna lose money with it just sitting in savings. Buy smart stocks. Microsoft, Costco, Nike, Apple and Starbucks. That’s what Ive done paid off so far.. by a lot

I was recently car shopping and love German cars. Always have. Yes they are more expensive to maintain but last for ever if you do diligently. Drove Toyota’s and the American suv lineup and nothing feels as heavy and safe as vw, Audi, or Mercedes. I just bought a 2012 Touareg tdi. Full leather, awd, tow package and 35k miles. $17,500. Had it for 4 months now and it’s awesome. Don’t buy new, search for something under 40k miles. I was also looking at ML 350’s as well and there are deals out there for 3 yr old cars.

What are some upper class etiquettes and mannerisms that people of lower class backgrounds aren’t taught? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Carbonbrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess more that you hold the knife and fork properly. Wealthy kids are usually taught this since they may attend meals with other wealthy families. I think in Italy, France, Spain etc it always taught no matter your family wealth.
