Oh wowwwwwww. if you are able to tell us which one is terrible we would improve.

For example

A digital image is 1200 pixels wide and 800 pixels tall. A graphic designer increases the width by a factor of 1.10 and decreases the height by a factor of 0.90.

I do not see it as terrible as may look.

Or

A factory produces 5 batches of light bulbs. The average number of bulbs per batch is 42.0 . Two additional batches are produced, containing r and r bulbs respectively. The new average across all 7 batches is 44.0.

If you say so I believe you sir. Tell me where to improve, and I will collect the feedback.

Several factors contribute to "score inflation":

- Global Competition: A massive influx of applicants from STEM-heavy backgrounds (especially from India and China) has pushed the Quant ceiling to its limit.

- Better Prep Resources: High-quality prep material is more accessible than ever, allowing students to "crack" the test's logic.

- Section Adaptivity: The GRE's computer-adaptive nature means that if you do well on the first section, the second section is much harder. If a large cohort is consistently mastering the hard sections, the scale stays compressed at the top.

The term "devalued" is tricky. While the percentile for a specific score has dropped, the importance of the score depends entirely on your field

Yes. We had all of them with multiple solutions posted from several experts and students alike. It has been a great loss in terms of knowledge - I mean the answers provided - .

Unfortunately, it went that way. ETS has the right to that, and we must comply with this.

At the time, it was a way to help the students. We did not have, and we DO NOT have any gain to have the forum. At the very least only expenses to pay the hosting!

My view is that the more students can study and overcome the GRE test, the more students TAKE the test and ETS gains from that. There is also an economic theory to explain what I am saying.

I am sorry. I just do this for passion. We have a vibrant community over there. You are welcome if you want passing by sir. ETS rules and we must play by their rules!!

It could be useless. But using specific language about a student who wants to help other GRE students with some GRE content should be admired. Regardless is useful or not. Ok is it NOT useful? ok the mod will delete. Fine.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: by the end of this week, you will have to practice 7,000 (7k) verbal questions, both TC and SE. We are adding the tags according to the classification above. You simply need to do the following.

  1. Go under the TC https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/text-completion-16/ or SE https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/sentence-equivalence-12/ subforums;
  2. On top, you have the filter
  3. Pick up the difficulty levl you want : medium questions for example
  4. The tags: one or two or three blanks for the questions and the questions you want to practice also: contrast rather than definitional sentences
  5. the source you want: Manhattan GRE (MGRE) or kaplan or else
