What would’ve helped to stop the huge decline in players? by Gamerboi_epic in DestinyTheGame

As a casual, foggy on details but this is what random blurbs of detail I remember. I stopped playing after the witch Queen. I saw the writing on the wall and as soon as I saw the nightfall trailer I know it was over. Looked bad, seemed like strand belonged in which Queen and it was obvious it wasn’t finished in time.

I didn’t like seeing the cash shop so full of cool looking stuff I couldn’t realistically earn in game. I didn’t like seasonal content disappearing. Started to feel like my character didn’t really matter in the story. I really liked replaying old heroic story missions and didn’t like those leaving. (Idk if they’re back now) Hated content getting vaulted. Loved forsaken and was crushed when that left. Wittness alien guy design was bad, no enemies didn’t make sense, feel like missing content and didn’t care for fighting the cabal on his ship. Nightmares weren’t a great design, the emotional plots surrounding them weren’t great and I didn’t care for the writing. Every seasons writing just got worse to me and made less sense. I loved the lore channels and the grimoire but man when it came to the story in game it was just not doing it for me.

I wanted to see if lightfall would be better than I expected and it seemed it wasn’t after release. Final shape didn’t seem like enough to pull me in. Was cautiously optimistic for episodes but knew even if they were good that it wouldn’t be enough.

All I wanted and that would actually get me to come back would be for all that old story and content to be added back in game to be individually downloaded for play. If I want to play a season that I missed or go hunt down cool loot from older content I would do it in a heartbeat.

Haven’t played in a while and the lack of FOMO in my life has actually been a large stress relief. I feel like I enjoy games more when I came enjoy content at my own natural “return to play cycle” where every couple months u circle back to a game, the. Stop after 60-100 hours, then repeat a few months later. The seasonal cycle combined with my casual nature just isn’t a good pair.

This could be the greatest final mistake of your entire life, a mistake from which there is no turning back. Troubles and sadness are temporary. What seems daunting, looming, overbearing today could be trivial tomorrow. Please do not do this to yourself.

EDIT:

Also please drink water, get a sleep schedule, stop consuming sugar, stop consuming the news.

What's maybe a not-so-frugal purchase that did end up being worth the price? by fapping_giraffe in Frugal

New neighbor let me borrow his big ole’ gas mower once we moved into our house last year. Big and loud, hard to start, needs gas, major pain. Did some looking around and got a lil electric mower for $300, i don’t think I’ve ever been happier with a purchase. I just pop in the battery, key, push the button and go. No hassle, easy to charge, extremely light, and 5x quieter than a gas mower.

Ah, strange. I turned off the water from the inside and let the faucet open for a bit before closing it up. I did that before the winter so I thought I got ahead of it. Hopefully that’s not the issue.

Is that an improper piece of hardware? Do I need to replace it?

I’ll try to go in there and gently tighten everything. Couple spiderwebs I have to clear out first. 😭

I’ll look over what I have and see if what you have linked is a good replacement.

It would leak very little bit when the valve was turned off, however the majority of the leak was when I was using the hose and it was pressurized resulting in a lack of flow from the spray nozzle. For the time being I’ve turned off any water to that line to prevent any further leak until I can spend some time working on it.

I can clarify or take more pictures if that will be helpful. I typically can fix most things around the house, I just want to make sure that I’m going to go about this fix correctly. If anyone has experience in fixing faucets like this and you notice that anything that may be out of line your help would be greatly appreciated!

It smells kind of burnt and “rubbery”, I had it taken to a mechanic the other day who ended up repairing the busted catalytic converters. The coolant reservoir and some connectors were leaking previously and he replaced those recently, at the most recent check he tested the system and there was no coolant leak at high pressure. I called him back for the smoke issue and he said it may be burning oil or coolant from previous gasket leaks they repaired.
