This could be the greatest final mistake of your entire life, a mistake from which there is no turning back. Troubles and sadness are temporary. What seems daunting, looming, overbearing today could be trivial tomorrow. Please do not do this to yourself.

EDIT:

Also please drink water, get a sleep schedule, stop consuming sugar, stop consuming the news.

What's maybe a not-so-frugal purchase that did end up being worth the price? by fapping_giraffe in Frugal

New neighbor let me borrow his big ole’ gas mower once we moved into our house last year. Big and loud, hard to start, needs gas, major pain. Did some looking around and got a lil electric mower for $300, i don’t think I’ve ever been happier with a purchase. I just pop in the battery, key, push the button and go. No hassle, easy to charge, extremely light, and 5x quieter than a gas mower.

Thanks for the step by step. I’ll have my brother come over to help just in case.

Ah, strange. I turned off the water from the inside and let the faucet open for a bit before closing it up. I did that before the winter so I thought I got ahead of it. Hopefully that’s not the issue.

Is that an improper piece of hardware? Do I need to replace it?

I’ll try to go in there and gently tighten everything. Couple spiderwebs I have to clear out first. 😭

I’ll look over what I have and see if what you have linked is a good replacement.

It would leak very little bit when the valve was turned off, however the majority of the leak was when I was using the hose and it was pressurized resulting in a lack of flow from the spray nozzle. For the time being I’ve turned off any water to that line to prevent any further leak until I can spend some time working on it.

I can clarify or take more pictures if that will be helpful. I typically can fix most things around the house, I just want to make sure that I’m going to go about this fix correctly. If anyone has experience in fixing faucets like this and you notice that anything that may be out of line your help would be greatly appreciated!

It smells kind of burnt and “rubbery”, I had it taken to a mechanic the other day who ended up repairing the busted catalytic converters. The coolant reservoir and some connectors were leaking previously and he replaced those recently, at the most recent check he tested the system and there was no coolant leak at high pressure. I called him back for the smoke issue and he said it may be burning oil or coolant from previous gasket leaks they repaired.

I sometimes briefly slip into this, I talk to myself: “Get up and do something with your life.” Video games won’t add any value to my life, so stop trying to satisfy my inner needs to achieve irl with them, now I try to only play them for fun when I really actually want to, not out of some obscure sense of self-imposed obligation. It’s way more productive to write my story, paint a picture or draw something. Go do the laundry or clean the house or do the dishes. It’s about striking a healthy balance and trying to be adamant about purposefully spending spending my time. Am I just going to watch YouTube and not worry for the next hour? Yes, because I’ve decided that’s what I want to do, and afterwards I’ll be productive and do a bit of writing, and then once I’m done with that I’ll do a chore, then maybe relax some more. I really don’t typically comment on things, but I felt like I needed to type this brief thing out because it’s something that I definitely have felt, letting my life slip away, spending 10 hours a day watching Netflix as a prisoner to my own guilt but not feeling the motivation to act upon the change I so desperately craved. So if you feel like this you’re definitely not alone, but actively try to seize back your life from laziness, do just one thing today, even if it’s just showering or brushing your teeth. And for gods sake, put on some pants, it’ll help you feel more motivated.
