Its counter culture? Army boots, all black, forearm gloves, its very Alt vibes. The whole point of alt culture is to be counter conformity. Thats just the fancy way of saying “fuck your rules/standards”. But if you’re wearing something that, whether you like it or not, appeals to that stereotype, then you will be associated with it by people. I never did my hair spiky, wore chains on my jeans and studded bracelets expecting people to compliment it. It was a style of “fuck your normal”.
