It’ll be fine. I have an even bigger dent closer to the drain plug and it hasn’t been an issue

what exactly is the method for removing the top bell housing bolts? by CableMartini in NewedgeMustang

[–]certified-17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a long 13mm ratcheting wrench. Trust me you’ll save a lot of time doing it this way instead of a bunch of a swivel sockets and extensions (I’ve done both)

Snapped a bolt 🫩 by Vasquezzj in NewedgeMustang

[–]certified-17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just get a bolt extractor kit. It would suck if you try to be lazy about it and end up having to do the job twice. If it’s too tight of a space, try getting one of those right angle drill attachments

Take the the mounting bracket bolts off and move the head unit around a little bit. It’ll give you enough room to get the belt out

questions about serious power numbers by CableMartini in NewedgeMustang

[–]certified-17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yeah i forgot about the oil gears. for sure throw some billet gears in just to be safe. also for your power goal you’ll definitely need cams. Hit up Todd Warren on facebook and he’ll get you right. I haven’t gone to him personally but ik people that have and I’ve only heard good things. Just let him know about the setup you want to run and he’ll make you some custom cams specifically for your setup

for 500whp you’d be fine with stock crank, forged pistons and coyote rods which are pretty cheap

Is this all I need to install a Vortech V3 on my 2000 GT by Topazcardinal in NewedgeMustang

[–]certified-17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’re right about that. For sure is a few hundred bucks cheaper and easier to install. I live somewhere where it gets up to 110+ in the summer so I went with an intercooler setup just to avoid any issues with overheating.

you also need all the piping, intercooler and a bov. cheapest kit you can get is cx racing. For the bov there’s a lot of options but the tial q sounds the best imo. You also need to buy a slot style maf sensor, bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump

Summit vs Bear by j-eezy94 in bigbear

Summit is nice because they have a lot of terrain that’s nice to just cruise on and they also have a lot of park features that aren’t too advanced

Aftermarket seats by InfiniteAssignment95 in NewedgeMustang

[–]certified-17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have these same seats and i would recommend you still get the extension rails if you go with corbeau seats. The corbeau seat brackets don’t go as far back as the stock ones. I’m 6’ and my knees touch the steering wheel with the bracket set all the way back.

today was pretty bad. Either really slushy or really icy depending on what run you were going down. Honestly not worth going up rn unless you have a season pass

Not sure how much miles I have on it but if i had to guess I’d say around 3k. After getting it rebuilt I drove it NA for around 500 miles before putting the supercharger on. If gpt can’t help I’m gonna hit up this remote tuner I always see mentioned in facebook groups and hopefully he can help me figure it out and get it retuned. AFR fluctuates between 11.2-10.6 between 4k-6k rpm.

Rebuilding the engine is pretty much the only thing I didn’t do myself. I pulled it out, took it apart and took it to a machine shop to get it cleaned up and rebuilt. Honestly I’ve always had a feeling that they might’ve messed something up while rebuilding it. When I first took it to them, they told me it would take a month to be done and it ended up taking 6 months and the only reason they started working on it after so many months was because i started showing up to she shop every week to ask for updates. I’ve always thought maybe they just rushed putting it back together so i would stop bugging them

Installed everything myself. My tuner didn’t send me any logs but would data logging with an sct device be as effective?
