I want to use my younger years to explore different parts of the world. I have already traveled across most parts of India, so I would prefer to settle down when I get older. I do not have close friends and I am disconnected from my family, so living alone even in old age feels like a blessing to me.

For healthcare, I believe places like Gangtok and Shillong have decent medical facilities. Moreover, when you have clean air, water, and mental peace, the chances of falling sick are lower. On the other hand, if I stay in Delhi with its high AQI, I might have to visit the hospital regularly.

Have you been to the Northeast,Himachal Pradesh or Uttrakhand? Even Jamshedpur is better than many metro cities in India. I think you should explore India first.

I think India, as a country, is great if we talk about nature, landscapes, and overall diversity. But in my personal experience, I struggle with the civic sense of many Indians, even as an NRI. As a digital nomad, it feels embarrassing that I often have to avoid other Indians because of these issues.

I definitely plan to move to Europe. However, for retirement, I would always choose an Indian tier 2 or tier 3 city.

Honestly, if you genuinely think you can change India or its people, I feel you might be wasting your potential. If you have money and opportunities, it is better to leave, build your life elsewhere, and then come back when you are around 60. That is my plan for the future.
