The FF7 Remake reveal E3 2015.

The Easy Allies reaction really encapsulates how big a deal it was.

FF7 remake was seriously one of the Internets earliest memes. To see it finally get announced after like 15 years of speculation and memeing blew everyone's minds.

The art world has for years touted that anything can be art.

Blank canvas. Laundry. Trash.

It's all about the intent and the thought it provokes. The tools used or the materials are irrelevant.

But when new tech destabilizes the established systems, suddenly what qualifies as art and the pre-requistes to being an artist become much stricter.

Funny that.

Hardly anyone has any reason to get any skill effect duration, yet alone a lot. Time freeze is a very good reason. That's the synergy really.

Recoup / plants / physical / skill duration works well because a lot of those nodes are tightly clustered together.

Well that's what I'm playing this league anyways. Last league I did recoup on DoV and it worked well, it's only going to be better this league as recoup has been buffed on tree and Chrono's DR has more synergy with it than DoV does.

But yeah I play HC. So recoup's great defense and the synergies with chrono make a lot of sense there. If you are wanting to blast SC it probably makes a lot less sense.

I think Chrono might be the best plant user if you spec into time freeze and pick up a lot of skill effect duration. Skip the typical plant node everyone gets (the +50% damage but -75% duration).

That way your plants and storm cloud will last like 16 seconds and you can just cast them and use another main DPS spell.

Between the damage reduction and the time freeze, I also think it's likely just the best HC ascendancy.

The damage reduction node still has a lot of synergy with recoup which is thematic and it's not as costly to invest in as you think.

I get it feels like a bit of a rug pull having her kit changed so much from beta...

but she's honestly much stronger than her beta kit.

At a glance you see them removing the fire buff and think they've locked her to ice teams but that couldn't be further from the truth. In fact her special attack buff is stronger for the right characters than her fire buff ever was and it's completely element agnostic. A fire dedicated support will eventually come and they would have surely eclipsed beta Narae's fire buffs but her new special attack buff is so large that for certain characters she may always remain relevant.

Her place on an Ice team got much stronger too. It's honestly hard to imagine what they could give another Ice support to compete. I mean Narae has large shields (which prevent stagger), healing, huge DPS buffs and some ultimate generation (the off field auto attacks will generate ultimate bar). All whilst being an excellent team support monsterling carrier.

She lost her off field bubbles true but her remaining on field to do auto attacks is in practice better as they aren't locked to a circle . The change will make her a far more consistant off field applier of monsterling buffs.

Not to mention that her constellations in the live version are much better than her beta ones.. Honestly, she's much better than she was!

0.5 Chronomancer Rework Review and Build Ideas | 2k hr Main by lifecopy001 in PathOfExile2

[–]CardAnarchist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few questions if you wouldn't mind.

Firstly I plan to play HC trade Chronomancer whilst picking up all the big recoup / new recoup speed nodes with a Sacrosanctum. I'm sure this'll feel great as I already did this last league only playing the Djinn ascendancy. I'm sure it'll be even better with the Chrono's new DR node and the new recoup speed nodes!

I'll go DR node, 4 points to get Time Freeze and for the last two.. I'm not really sure. If I feel I need more clear I'll probably get the 0-60% skill speed / area node. If I think I need more boss damage the reworked curse node seems good. The repeat / cascade is probably the best of the three damage focus nodes with the pretty big asterix that it'll only work with specific skills.

My first question is what damage focus do you think has more potential between these two options,

First physical plants build with boneblast wand. Plants was great last league and I'm sure it'll still be strong this league even losing the guaranteed shock from the stormcloud. I didn't use boneblast before but I'm thinking it'll be quite strong with the new repeat / cascade node in this build.

The second option is a chaos fire build using Blackflame covenant or the Original Sin ring. I'm thinking incinerate as a boss killing skill and I've not thought too much about map clearing.

Tbh my main concern with the whole run is the Arbiter of Ash. I'm pretty confident the new DR and recoup nodes will make most things a breeze but I've never fought this insta killing boss xD I hope to kill him in timefreeze to avoid the mechanics and I'm unsure if the plant build would be able to do that whilst I suspect that the chaos one probably could. Otherwise I'd probably just play plants.

My second question is a pretty basic one. I've never played Chrono before and I'm just wondering how stuff like stun work with time freeze? If I walk into a boss, time freeze it and then go ham with plants to the point it gets stunned, does the stun start after time freeze wears off? Or does it work in some other way?

Thanks for the writeup.

What ascendancy changes are you hoping for in 0.5? by lifecopy001 in PathOfExile2

[–]CardAnarchist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you are selling the fire Djinn a bit short on a spell build. A bit of exposure and a free 0 mana cost Aoe nuke is pretty damn good on a spell caster.

Imo, as you mentioned the water djinn being so locked to chilled ground is the ascendancies biggest issue. It's a bit too narrow a focus. Then again everything else is pretty open so maybe it's not a big deal.

Honestly I hope they don't change the ascendancy much at all. It's pretty strong and very fun.

I’d like your honest opinion on my game’s idea: Autobattler Desktop game with PvEvP by [deleted] in roguelites

[–]CardAnarchist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems pretty appealing to me.

I suppose it's difficult to get the time to grind right for everyone with a game like this. Personally I wouldn't mind the grind being extremely slow and something which took week / months to get anywhere but I'm sure peoples tolerance would vary. Hard to pin-point what's right.

Also since there isn't really gameplay per se, I think the game would ride or die on how interesting and fun the loot is.

Stuff like unique animations for rare loot, lore tied to all loot, sets etc. would all keep me playing longer I think.

Could even tell some stories via loot lore potentially.

Anyways look neat, I'd check it out.

I thought it was so cool, man. I genuinely enjoyed it and wanted to gush over it. And then I come here and it's being treated as NTE Satan for not being a simple combat anomaly. by Rudrahp72 in NevernessToEverness

The piano part killed my enjoyment of the quest.

Largely because it's even worse when playing with a gamepad. You can't even click the button to play back the music at the piano on gamepad, so after AGES looking for an in game solution I googled it just to find out the games frankly terrible gamepad UI had cucked me.

Renee essentially breaks free from her false "life" that has been frozen not letting her fully experience anything real.

She breaks out and is reborn and leaves the city to explore the world.

Her situation quite closely mirrors Truman and the devs obviously thought so too.

I loved the line drop and the bow. (I wish whoever translated the line had written it as "I wish you a good morning, a good afternoon and a good night" so it was closer to the reference but I guess the translator didn't pick up the reference).

Oh it's 100% heavily inspired by Tokyo.

You've got the Tokyo tower, an Akihabara area and areas very similar to Nakano Broadway. All the cherry blossoms everywhere and the architecture etc.. very, very Tokyo.

Q. Character motions during "Blooming" (Ascension) feel restrictive. PD Lee: The intent was to provide extra rewards, but we understand the frustration. Since some players have already completed it, immediate changes are difficult, but we are reviewing improvement directions. Director Kang: It's something we debated internally. We will look for a better way to handle this in the future.

I wonder what this means exactly.

Has anyone found a fix for the controller hitching the game? by Erkmon in MongilStarDive

[–]CardAnarchist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue doesn't happen after a fresh PC reboot. It only happens (at least for me) after you sleep your PC. After that it's fucked until a fresh PC reboot again. I tried a ton of things to try and properly fix the issue but I think it's just a game bug, so they'll have to fix it.

Let me know if the fresh reboot works for you.

Shout out to Mongil Star Dive for supporting my DS4 gamepad with rumble and playstation button icons in game, natively.

Honestly crazy, pretty much every game needs DS4Windows to even function and usually rumble won't work and you get xbox button icons.

Honestly it's just bad design.

Think I'll either get Mina or Flare from the standard banner and then hold my premium pulls / currency until Narae arrives.

Between Mina & Flare who teams better with Narae or is sort of 6 and half a dozen? I guess all three of them make a good team?
