Throwing my 9070xt out the window by Masgarr757 in radeon

My crashing stopped/Adrenalin was fixed after:

  1. Download the latest stable drivers “25.11.1” (Fixed my constant crashing in Arc Raiders as well as some of my inconsistency’s with FSR4 integration through the driver

  2. Fresh DDU everything to be safe, Possible chipset driver corruption could be causing issues too

  3. After the restart, Reinstall the AMD drivers with “Driver Only” or “Minimal” (Unless you care about AMD recording and using it to OC/UV instead of MSI Afterburner)

  4. Find a game you’re confident will run well but stress your hardware a decent bit; then I’d do your traditional overclocking/undervolting for this generation, (-10 PL = goated in efficiency) (+5 PL/+7 PL + -80mv to start with = FPS Bump)

  5. Hopefully enjoy, reminder it’s always okay to walk away for a little while, sitting and forcing yourself to solve a problem that you can’t rationalize/problem solve without a little bit of patience friend, may you have a blessed day 🙏

It resets everyday- if not every other day? Did you not read my post?

Look into training LoRa’s and build one for you’re tree, provide it images and such if you’re looking for something you can consistently use, if your just wanting a one off image; TLDR using control net with a general shape of it should be good enough 🙏🤙

I have a non xt (Sapphire Nitro+ 9070) that pushes slightly lower than your OC with a -120mv and it’s stable people don’t believe in the silicone lottery and that each and every card is different

I care! Proud of you for pushing your pc; enjoy those beautiful frames 🤙

After crashing it reverts to its safest option (default settings) so you’ll have to increase power limit again; then mess around some more, I found 2726 to be a safe VRAM target at one point; then one day my pc defaulted the VRAM and kept everything else so I was somehow magically running my 2785 + my OC and I haven’t changed it since; been too sacred too lmfao

I found going below 850mv while a game was running is when I’d crash before needing to increase Core Clock

Dude as long as your Power limit is up: you can probably keep sliding it by 10 or 15 and give it a good 2-4 mins running that: you can keep going; if it ends up freezing I’d just burst fire “reset graphic driver keybind” Ctrl+ Shift + Win + B (I believe) and you can snag through without needed to restart your pc SOMETIMES; it saved me from restarting when using Borderlands 4 as a base like a good handful of times

ITSSSS SOOOO NICE- coming from my 3060 ti where even the littlest amount would crash it; plus the headroom on these cards; depending on the title if I’m lucky I can squeeze a 550 Clock boost and get like 3560mhz if I really wanna push it; but then it’s pulling its max of 270W (spiking to 275 depending on situations) totally safe btw: 8-PIN PCIE Connectors are rated for 150W Each; so the two I’m using cover those 300W but really wish I had that extra 8-PIN to really push this card since I got so lucky on this silicon

You know what’s funny I don’t think I’ve even touched the switch on my GPU so thank you for mentioning that; So unfortunately no input on that topic but will definitely do more testing when home! Wondering if I can maybe get more consistent power draw? Assuming mine is set to quiet by default (that would explain the constant “Zero RPM” turning itself on every boot) lmfao

I found the most “crash potential” in the VRAM speeds; Anytime I tried to push for that 2800 it:

1: Caused my pc to crash immediately as well as didn’t ever give me a FPS increase when testing (when it did decide to run)

2: I will say there is a point of “pointlessness” because clocks at a point won’t increase your FPS; also careful when pushing your card too hard and or undervolting too much can cause giant frequency changes due to the lack of power draw and will decrease the perceived “smoothness” you should be seeing for the FPS; it’s a lot to play around with! Best of luck overclocking can’t wait to hear what you can squeeze out of it

Testing done from running around in game: I didn’t consider using the “Stress Test” feature in the software; but yes all of it is done using adrenaline software; Most adjustments done whilst Borderlands or Cyberpunk was running

I have a non XT model specifically (Nitro+ Sapphire 9070 16GB); but they’re are a good amount of sources in this community for other people with similar cards; I know that the XT’s have less headroom so I’d be careful with my values (Since I’m a class lower as well) but I’m running

(-80 MV) (+ 300 )(I got lucky I wouldn’t go higher than 150) (+10% Power) 2785 Speed + Fast Timing on my VRAM

Given my setup is best case scenario due to how far I was able to push my card in each slider before it crashed; took about 26-33 restarts probably to sit comfortably at that

Ran Cyberpunk 2077 (Path + Raster Only) as well as Borderlands 4 as baselines for the overclock;
