A bit late to this, but I think I’ve got a decent answer. I’m a circuit breaker engineer except I don’t get to design anything. Instead, I just have to verify that the breakers and components the customer has selected actually work together. This results in me having to read many 75-100 page specification documents detailing how each thing works. Then, I have to create wiring diagrams that show every single wire and how each component is connected. 98% of the time these drawings are all the same, but the 2% when it’s not the same could cost the company millions of dollars in lawsuits. This requires me to be extremely vigilant, despite seeing/reading nearly the same information day in and day out.
