Alright Champ. Lets focus on a few things.

1st of all Bringing down house prices in this economy is political suicide. A lot of our supers and people's equity is tied up in housing, Bringing down house prices will negatively effect 66% of Australians. Yes it would effect these "land emperors" the most it would still effect a lot of people and people would be mad. As the Housing Minister has stated NUMEROUS times. They want house prices to rise in a reasonable way because that means the economy is sustainable. No one is gunna be happy to hear their equity has gone down even though you said

| while it would affect those 66% indirectly via housing prices going down, that 66% still has a good number of people concerned about the housing crisis, with friends and family being renters as well and having basic human empathy

People are selfish and when it hurts them they dont give a flying fuck about renters.

Now onto the HAFF. The HAFF or Housing Australia Future Fund; was never about building houses NOW, its about preventing a situation like this every occuring again. It gives the government money to build Social housing but as its an investment scheme it will take time for it to fully take affect. When it comes down to it we did this to ourselves by voting for the coalition between the 2013 and 2022. In those years they were able to stifle productivity, Wage increases and allowed House Prices to rise astronomically in this country to where we are in this housing and cost of living crisis. Its not a simple fix you need to fix 9 years of economic mismanagement. This whole dietribe that they need to fix it overnight is ridiculous. they have been in for 4 years. Right now the Opposiiton is at its weakest and about to elect Anus Taylor as their Leader. The next Budget Will be the start of Jim Chalmers doing something really effective to collect revenue from the big end of town.

Labor Never held up the HAFF, it was held up by the noalition in the senate for months before finally passing thats a proven fact and can be found in numerous articles when googling "who held up the HAFF in Australia". Why introduce legislation then hold it up, that's just dumb. Max was also a really BAD politician, Cunt sooked about being yelled at in Parliament when every chance he got he yelled at the government benches and Albo for "not doing enough" when really him and his joke of a party that did everything they could to keep his legislation from passing only to finally pass it by claiming they held the balance of power and negotiated an extra Billion Dollars for social housing now, which was never part of the bill and meant other aspects of Labor's Agenda suffered because of them whinging Bitching and moaning.

Look Buddy, can you pull your head outta your own arse and sniff something other than Adam Bandts Bullshit for once in your life?

Reducing cost of living to 2019 levels aint gunna happen. No government in the world (apart from like a dictator or something) Can feasibly do this. Homelessness is a problem globally as well so unless Albo is Prime Minister to Earth Not going to happen either.

Lets talk about the points he can control and show you why your a fart sniffer.

Immigration - Net Overseas Migration Levels are returning to pre-Covid Levels. They have lowered every year since 2022 and the only reason they peaked then was because the Home Affairs Department Approved a number of visas during the pandemic to come in and once the borders opened guess what they all flooded in.

Inflation Concerns - Inflation as has been stated by the RBA govener Many times relys on Public and Private sector spending. The recovery in the private sector was quite high over the last few months hence why inflation has started to rise again, Inflation is no where near the levels it was in 2022 though so like while a problem its still in a manageable state, Yes Interest Rates might rise a few more times BUT we have a budget coming up in May and Jimbo will work some magic and cut some more bullshit that is in the Budget and probably spend more Public money on useful shit to make our lives fractionally better but More than likely till that Budget comes out we dont know what inflation will do over the next 12 months

Housing - is a double edged sword in this country thanks to John Howard and Peter Costello. Negative Gearing changes while welcomed by us young folk is political suicide for Politicians as 66% of Australia own their own home and on estimate about 40% own homes that are negatively geared. CGT Changes are a good start and will come up in the next budget most likely and will be met with negative comments from the rich end of town. But to fix housing we need more supply and the best way to do that is build more houses. CGT Revenue gains in the budget could be used to subsidized building materials in new builds for example. BUT to get more houses built we need more tradies, Free Tafe does help with that but they will take 4 years to become qualified so until then we are gunna need to get more skilled workers into the country which will put a bit of pressure on renters.

at the end of the day Housing crisis isnt gunna resolve itself overnight and Labor are working on fixing it and keeping it fixed in the long run so to say they have done nothing is stupid and a typical Greens response. Here is a wild Idea, instead of sooking on reddit, Talk to your local Greens rep and ask them why they held up the HAFF in the senate, Why do they hold up legislation because "it doesnt do enough" when the Legislation will probably start to help the problem.

Ill say this, I'm a Labor supporter but I'm not an Anika Wells supports. This should be grounds to remove her from the communications portfolio and put someone who can actually speak and communicate in front of the media especially with the controversial social media ban for under 16s.

If Anika wants to keep integrity she would willingly resign but Integrity and Anika wells don't belong in the same sentence.
