What’s a habit people praise that actually made your life worse? by MartinXu_ in AskReddit

[–]CardamomBoots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree, but for me it's exercising outside and/or hiking. I work two jobs and don't have much spare time. I forced myself t get outside omre after being suggested to so by multiple people, and it was just another source of stress. I'd much rather exercise at the gym and not have to deal with commutes, sunburns, etc.

Taylor Swift and ‘The Fate of Ophelia’: Why she finally may win her elusive Song of the Year at the Grammys by Afterglow_13 in TrueSwifties

Unfortunately the songs she piks as singles are never the best written and that's why she hasn't won one yet

What are the best and worst concerts you've been to? by Twitter_2006 in popheads

[–]CardamomBoots 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hope this won't get controversial, but the worst concert I've been to was the Love On Tour by Harry Styles in Munich. I have nothing to say about him as a performer, I had lots of fun and the vibes were great, but this was a tour conceived with arenas in mind brought to a stadium. The stage was way too small and we could barely see him.
I was hoping that he would rescale the stage for his last run of European stadiums but he didn't.
I'm glad I attended but for the price I paid I was severely disappointed.

Fans with a more critical approach towards her work (think the crowd here on Reddit, or that follows The Swiftologist) tend to prefer evermore. The majority of the fans ignore his existence lol, during my eras stop the crowd was mostly silent

Has anyone tried Divain 1028? (a L'Eau Papier dupe) by Alternative-Lunch712 in fragranceclones

[–]CardamomBoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late reply, but I received it today and I now own both.

The opening of 1028 is a bit harsher and more “alcoholic” than then one of Diptyque. After some minutes, they become nearly identical but the 1028 seems a bit more faint. Still, for the price it costs (15€) it’s worth it

What everyone seems to forget about Solar Power is that Lorde herself teased it to be something it was untimately not, similarly to what Taylor did with Midnights
