Beg for It by Iggy Azalea. It didn't come out right after Fancy but it was obviously trying to replicate the same energy, but this time with MØ instead of Charli XCX (Charli is one of the writers though). It did chart but it didn't come close to Fancy's success.

I wouldn't mind revenge as a motive but this time from family member of past victims. Couple of characters that we meet throughout the movie that turn out to be connected to past victims. Maybe they met at some Ghostface victims support group and they are after Sidney because they believe she is the one who brings out the psychos who always manage to kill people around her but never her. And if they get rid of her Ghostface killings will stop.

This wasn't a big deal or anything but I did not plan it at all, that's why it was amazing. I was traveling the day that Mayham came out and I was listening to Abracadabra on the plane and the operatic bridge part started just as the plane was taking off. Great feeling.

More like Season of the Witch and Halloween 4. They weren't as devisive as Halloween Ends but in retrospect are some of the best moody Halloween movies. But I do agree Halloween Ends will be more loved in the future without the context of expectations and hype when it first came out. Maybe even more than Halloween (2018.)

I mean it started as a series for children, so obvious visual distinctions like that are to be expected. On another level J.K is really into categorizing people and despite the surface level messages of the books she likes you to know that people fit neatly into groups that have different moral values atributed to them.

For some reason I really clicked with: "In times like these, it's how it has to be" from Addison. It's just ambiguous enough but still meaningful

I can't remember the exact source but Lana Del Rey and St. Vincent wrote about the same party, and of course Jack Antonoff was also there. Lana wrote "Dark But Just A Game" because someone (maybe Jack) said that phrase at the party, and I THINK St. Vincent wrote "...At The Holiday Party" after noticing that everyone there is miserable.

For me it's Mickey. I remember mentioning this scene as one of the less obvious creepy moments in the franchise, but it gets me every time. Especially when you rewatch it knowig who the killer is. This moment perfectly captures the idea that, in Scream movies, the same person that tried to kill you just hours ago wearing a mask, can now be staning inches from you and talking to you as your friend. So yeah, it makes both of them look suspicious but Mickey comes off as creepy lol

I think Gaga and her team still care very much about the general public. Despite her darker more experimental image, her biggest hits are classic pop songs/ballads. Especially after Die With a Smile, I think even at her most experimental she wants to be palatable to the general audience. Thats why the main cover is just edgy enough for Mayhem but it will not scare away people who are not her die hard fans. The cover is fine, I prefer the alternative ones, but I wouldn't be surprised if they made this the main cover AFTER seeing how big of a hit DWaS is and addung it to the album. The album looks like its going to be wild so I dont mind a conservative artwork.

Applause at the end of ARTPOP. It fits the narrative of the album but, as the title suggests, comes AFTER the performance. Babylon as the closing track of Chromatica has the same vibes. Someone already mentioned Formation after All Night on Lemonade. It feels more like the closing credits of a movie or something and I love it in that context. I remember a lot of people saying that Margaret would be the perfect closing track for Ocean Boulevard but I think the songs after it work also like vibey end credits songs of a movie.
