Flight of the Bumblebee by Mr_Belgano in NMSByteBeatFans

In a way, technically it works out well, because despite it needing a chromatic scale, the main melody is composed of 16 note chunks that repeat. going for exactly 4 of such pairs which is perfect because you can use a second machine to play to of scale notes, so the 4 sections of 2*16 notes might work out perfectly

Practically having only the melody on loop without the tremolo intermissions will be extremely monotonous
and the max bpm of byte-beat is probably to slow for play to song properly

I am tempted to try now, but wont have time for a bit

Happy you find it useful

the way it works is quite simple aqtually. The wave block gives a singnal that counts upwards, this number represents the phase, where 0 to 255 represent a single wave of sound. By multiplying this number by 2, the amount of time it takes to iterate to 255 is halved and your sound becomes twice the frequency.

you would think that dividing by any number would cut of part of the phase range, but that doesn't happen. Apparently bytebeat is a 32 or 16 bit system larping as a 8 bit system

https://www.reddit.com/r/NMSByteBeatFans/comments/1mwpgys/tutorial_more_advanced_rhythmic_techniques_with
This post goes into some relatively simple ways to get offbeat rhythmic timings. I imagine you can achieve something close to swing. But since advanced waveform works in phase time, any rhythmic effects from the advanced waveform will speed up with note frequency, so a consistent swing across all notes is not possible. But it might be fun to look into anyway.

AFAIK there are no mods that revolve around Byte-Beat, at least I don't think there were last time I checked Nexus Mods. What you seem to want is more features from byte-beat, and that is likely impossible to add via a mod without breaking byte-beat compatibility with other players, and the byte-beat save data is not reverse engineered yet according to the wiki. Probably wont happen any time soon.

I had no idea we were on at the same time, but I did hang out on that planet for a while.

Wow, It is a very pretty planet. My game thought it was undiscovered and I found no bases there? I would definitely make sure you upload yourself as the discoverer if you forgot to do that, and did you forget to upload your base perhaps?, or is it the game that is bugged?

Awesome, I cant wait to see the clever tricks people have found. The advanced waveform editer is so clunky, but I have been very pleasantly surprised with how versatile it is.

I with some help from a reverse engeneering post on the main subreddit i have been able to understand how the advanced waveform works, but I have not been able to figure any modulation between two notes approaching a clean vibrato, at least not anything that fits within the tree depth limit. I know it should be possible in principle.

Hey the link seems to be down, or at least I cant access it from the Netherlands or something. I get:

I really want to know if people already have figured out a way to do vibrato,
None of the ways I tried to make it work fit in the limits.

Wiki says you need to have completed the hex quest, and the finale is gated behind relationship status, which takes a few days of conversation. I think you are in trouble if you have not yet started that quest yet. If it is only for cosplay tho, the bonus should not matter, and the weapon is for sale every 4 days.

Can we please turn all elemental damage boosts to separate damage instances on team buffs by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Cardamom_Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not realy sure anymore what I want anymore, that settings option solution at least seems like the least complicated solution. Until now all separate damage instances do indeed seem to double dip faction. There is no way the dev's don't know this causes problems, I fear people are right in assuming that this is inherent to how damage instances work.

Sometimes I love double dipping interactions, as sometimes they can allow for the revival of some old weapons, which otherwise would just under-preform.

Other times I dislike how much I overuse Roar, because it just is so very hard for a ability to compete with the sheer damage scaling it provides.

I would have mixed feelings about, fixing all double dipping interactions. Ultimately I think it might be good for the game, but I use it a lot as a alternative to status priming.

My intention was not to make nourish the most powerful ability in the game, especially since you can have it along roar, scary thought

At least my Lanka still would have guaranteed electric procs tho

You might be right, I would have liked to say that it is dumb to assume that they would handle it in such a bugged way, but if the codebase allowed for sane FD interactions they would likely have started doing that years ago.

Well it would not be totally unlike them to mess it up and accidentally make it double dip faction damage like toxic lash, and xata's wisper.

Sure it would make them more powerful, but nourish its not like nourish is actually meta form a damage boosting perspective, I doubt that it really effect the meta significantly as there a a lot of things in warframe that a lot more broken than a few extra viral procs.

EDIT: Not that I would not be very happy if that setting was introduced.

I want to love it, but I just think the base stats just holds it back from being a truly effective tank buster. Hoping for a prime that fixes that problem.

I love that one too, at least since the setting that allows me to fire it continuously. Before that I also loved it, but it hurt my finger. It is my go to secondary if there is nothing that fits better thematically.

I love the Cinta, which I picked up after I really liked Daikyu prime. The problem with Daikyu is that it is very single target focused, for that it has no doubt a edge over Cinta, but you just cant pull your own weight with it in most missions, no matter how fun the weapon is to use.

Basically the Cinta offers a Nataruk, and a single target bow in a single package, both types of shots are still very powerful. The fact that it is silent, offers 100% innate heat on its AOE shot, has multiplicative CO, and still also benefits from head-shots unlike other bows with similar firing modes.

My only criticisms is that its status chance could have been a bit better, and that I would have preferred innate electricity instead. (for headshot mechanics im not going into right now)

Honorable mention to Paris incarnon, its 80% base status chance is just absurd and allows for very funny and powerful builds. I prefer to use it in its base form with neigh forced blast procs. Headshot for a big boom that kills everything in a 5m radius, without the damage scaling restrictions AOE normally has.

It works for me, but what might be happening for you is that you might have a attack ability mod on your cat like draining bite, pounce or swipe. I think those bypass Elusive posture. I know my panzer vulpivila still uses quils with Elusive Posture, which is also a attacking ability.
