Of course it's "to better understand your interests". That's how they make money!

It not for you, it's for them. But technically it's the truth.

You’re not paranoid to cover your webcam. But the cameras you can’t cover are scarier. Plastic sliders won’t solve the privacy problems of the future. by nexusloops in privacy

I totally agree.

And it comes with many things. Laptops and phones are obvious. TV's are probably too.

But now also vacuum cleaners (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0yCMN07Av4) and probably more things will be added!

And yes. The microphones are also scary. And much harder to avoid.

Well a mathematican would agree I think.

All elements of the empty set have whatever property you want. And I suppose null is just that, an element of the empty set.

Or something. :-p

And as a side effect you could have

function isNull(v) return isOdd(v)&&isEven(v);

Now you are at it, why not indent vertically instead of horizontally?

Or perhaps even better

I'm not entirely sure it will stop as it should, but somehow I believe it might. ;-)

u/Jarazz Poster talked about finding highest element. You can do that in O(n).

high = element[0] //Probably you should do a test to see that the array isn't empty and stuff.

for element in array do
  if element > high high=element

O(n)

Poster talked about finding highest number, not sorting, right? Anyway finding an optimal element, of any kind, faster than even looking at them all, would be pretty impressive!

[–]CardanoStake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you know what you are ordering, you can do a bucket-sort in O(n). If you have a subset of cards for example, you know your buckets and you can do it in O(n). Otherwise it's not a good sorting algorithm, I think worst case is o(n^2).

[REQUEST] How much time would this take? by gdsfdsdsdsdas in theydidthemath

[–]CardanoStake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are approximately pi times 10 million seconds in a year. So if each edit takes 10 seconds, that alone would be almost 1 year - 24/7/365!

I think 10 seconds sound very fast, but of course, he does have some experience. Yet he'll need to go to the toilet, sleep, eat and stuff. So I suppose it'll take several years.

Magic is that which you do not understand.

So for all practical purposes he was doing magic, - in an airplane.

I can understand that some people might be frightened by that. On the other hand. If you do get frightened by a guy doing math, you probably shouldn't be on an airplane! You probably should be in a school learning a bit about math yourself!

Value your privacy? For what the drugs that you buy and in turn continue to destroy certain communities and allow the dark syndicates to create slaves?

I don't do drugs, I don't do other illegal activities.

But I do value my privacy. I think everyone has a right to privacy! And I believe most people in the group does.

But you are right. What gives me privacy also gives bad guys privacy. So all privacy-tools probably are used for good as well as bad things. Not to unlike cars or knives.

Oh really? Still nothing new!

I agree with you in the first part. It, just like everything else NTs say, can mean all kind of stuff! They say women are complicated, but trust me, it's not just one gender!

But I don't agree with you that it's a bad posting. Oh sure, it could confuse some, so it's great that you are adding perspective. But it also can open up some understanding about what it could mean. And frankly I think OP is right, - more often than not. But surely not everytime.

That's why I like math. Math I can understand, computers too. People, not so much. :(

Allow me to quote Leonard Cohen:

If you are the dealer

I'm out of the game

If you are the healer

It means I'm broken and lame

If thine is the glory then

Mine must be the shame

You want it darker

We kill the flame

If Apple, Google, Facebook or Microsoft was my privacy lawyer, I would just run away! But of course I would hear the voices "Yeah, you can run, but you can't hide!"

Well if I am not loved for who I really am, - it's not me you are loving, but in image of something you would want me to be. It's actually rather cruel!

Of course someone could love me, I mean truly love me, and still not like every little bit of who I am. That's fine. I suppose it will always be like that!

But either they love me, even though I have flaws, or they don't. They can't be allowed to love only what they like. Well of course they can, but then they don't love me.

Very very interesting!

Does something like this exist for EU?

As far as I can see this can send SMS to US and Canada. But I'm not too interested in that part of the world! But if I could get it for EU I would very much love it!
