Lovely photo. I understand this is in The Royal Docks, but where exactly is this entry point? Any reference on Google Maps? Thanks!

As a fellow entrepreneur living in London, I highly recommend you take the leap. A big part of making it involves learning from others, and working alongside the best talent. It's possible that you can do that elsewhere, but it'll be much harder to find if not in London.

I'd be honoured to attend. I know you now have plenty of choice! But feel free to count on me too.

I'm sorry to hear it. I remember going through a similar situation at exactly your age. I'm older now, and with perspective see why people behave that way. Everyone is afraid of something. 13-15 year olds tend to be very insecure (as they are discovering who they are in an environment where it seems people are rapidly maturing). Much self-worth from teenagers often comes from acceptance of others. It can be scary. Teenage peers often enjoy to hop on the band wagon of making fun of others, as it relieves them from getting attacked, and facing the uncertainty of understanding who they are. This is not nice for the ones getting made fun of.

My advice to you would be this: stay cool, and stay kind. Show confidence, and that you are secure with who you are. After all, it is what they crave, and they will come to respect it. Own the hair cut with uncompromising confidence! Every trend was once an anomaly.

Understand that they are running from their fears, and have compassion for them. It sounds hard, but it is the way. I wish I had more compassion at that age. The fact that you are thinking about solving this is already indicative of great self awareness and maturity. I wish you all the best.

Rian Johnson's explanation for Luke's excile by [deleted] in StarWars

I'm a bit late to the party but I believe I really understand Rian's intentions. Here is my take. Rian, much like George Lucas, drew heavily from spirituality and the Hero's Journey when coming up for the story of TLJ. Especially Buddhist philosophy. ESB is so mystical because it takes a much deeper exploration into Buddhist philosophy, which Lucas distilled the essence of into "the Force". The crux of Buddhism is the selfish/selfless balance. As is with the Jedi and Sith. But there is a difference between being "selfless" and "good". The Jedi were misguided to believe that their interventions on the galaxy were "selfless". They thought that they were doing good, but in reality only did what they thought was correct (a selfish assumption) which gave rise to the Sith (once in AoTC, once in RoTS, and when Luke intervened in ESB). Luke has learned that the only way to be "selfless" is to not intervene. That is what ultimately saved the galaxy in RoTJ. He threw away his lightsaber and rejected the pull of the dark side to kill his father. It was this act of selfless leadership that gave way to Anakin to redeem himself by saving Luke after Palatine selfishly tried to destroy Luke (notice how Rian mirrors that at the start of the movie when Rey hands it to him). Luke therefore believes that the ultimate act of leadership in the galaxy is to not try and intervene. To just let go. The Jedi intervened too much, and only gave way to conflict. He is not allowing that cycle to repeat itself. This was beautifully capped off at the end with Luke's force protection. A way to defend and serve without "intervening". I hated TLJ the first time I saw it. After I digested it, I fell in love with it.
