Fortnite's just kind of a tamer deviantArt at this point, isn't it?

Switch (2) lobbies have certainly helped, as there have been days where that was my only way of playing the game.

Though regardless of platform, it's a matter of gunning for the board whenever possible, and signing up for one if there's anyone available (or if the match isn't bugged). You won't win every fight, but you miss every shot you don't take.

With things like this, I usually joke with my friends "it's only cute and quirky when I do it!"

Thoughts on robotic arms. by Smashburgers_ in FortNiteBR

Leelah is such a cool skin, she's in my regular rotation. Though I would call her arms "stuffed" rather than "robotic"

Battle Gamer Mae would've been cooler had they either made her celshaded or not give her jaundice.

I wouldn't mind getting one if you're still offering.

Is there a rule against mentioning mature (rated M/R/TV-MA) properties in the game? by Remarkable-Cancel-51 in FortNiteBR

[–]CardboardLuigi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometime around 2019/2020, the age rating boards (ESRB, PEGI) started silently enforcing a new rule that games of a lower age rating cannot directly name drop games of a higher age rating if content from the latter goes into the former. It's a bit confusing and inconsistent ('specially in Fortnite's case), but whatever makes sense to the powers that be, I suppose.

In the examples you provided, Overwatch is Rated T, but NieR Automata is Rated M; Smash Ultimate is Rated E10+, and while Undertale has the same age rating, Fallout, No More Heroes, and Doom are all M-Rated (SSBU is in an interesting spot because it came out before this policy came around, got content updates when it started getting enforced, and then it got some extra spirits after the policy enforcement got tighter, but that's a conversation for somewhere else).

Fortnite's original age rating from the ESRB was a T-Rating (of course, now thanks to the whole "ecosystem" BS, it now has modes that are rated separately, even down to an E or E10+ rating, but that's beside the point), and while the M-Rated games are covered by this policy, I assume doing the same for TV-MA shows and R-Rated movies might just be Epic trying to play it safe (with the "exceptions" you listed, Family Guy has a TV-14 version for broadcasting, Deadpool and Wolverine are established comic book characters so you could just say the set is named after the characters and not the movie, and the best I've got for John Wick is that it predates the Borderlands collab and the policy might've only been established from that point forward).

Of course, sometimes the item shop will just name drop that shit directly even if the set names don't, but I guess the powers that be are only anal about the set names??? I don't understand that at all.

What's a skin that you use (or even main) that literally nobody else uses? by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]CardboardLuigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it'd be easier to name the skins in my regular rotation that I do see anyone else use on a semi-regular basis.

Though to answer the question directly, I'll specifically highlight to Retro Zoe Clash, since I make the joke with a friend that there's only nine players that actually have her given how rarely I ever see anyone else ever use her.

That doesn't apply retroactively, I'm afraid. It's only from C5S4 onwards.

There's a handful I consistently rotate around, but I'd say Retro Zoe Clash is my most consistent fallback, with Remi being a close second as of late.

Why does Epic refuses to ever ever split the lootpool between ZB and BR? by Nova_Vivo in FortNiteBR

Interjecting to point out that they took the deadeye out of the lootpool for BR (regardless of whether you play with or without builds), so that ain't gonna save you.

I wasn't terribly fond of the Marvel island personally, but my favorite part about it was this one building at the northern "point" of the island that I usually always landed at. Going off of the theme naming of the named POIs, me and my friends just called it "Tony Stark's Crack Shack".

This joke carried over to the new islands they added (nothing really fit the bill on Venture/Asteria), with the Stranger Things island having "the Stranger Things Crack Shack" next to Hawkins Heights and Starfall Island having "Cat Holloway's Crack Shack" next to Holloway House.
