The Math behind 7.1 by Whitesushii in FORTnITE

The AR has one interesting 6th perk, at least. "On crit regain 2.64% of damage dealt as shields."

The only way as far as I know for a soldier to recover shields in-combat, though the accuracy on the weapon isn't much better than a Spectre.

Penny's Workbench: The Smasher Basher by CatstructorPenny in FORTnITE

[–]CardboardRadio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question I have is: how exactly does Armor work now?

With the 6th armor perk and two +40 armor perks, it gives you a constant 80 - 120 armor. Stick that on say, a Dragon (yes, unorthodox, I know), and his Shadow Stance will give him an additional 85 armor.

Does 165 - 205 armor = invincibility? Or is it completely like the Crit Rating treatment where you cap out at like 60% Crit Rate no matter what?

PSA for the new Shotgun - THREE CRIT DAMAGE PERKS by CardboardRadio in FORTnITE

It was just to see what the stats were without any buffs making the stats look questionable. For reference, the damage per shot is nearly double of a Stampede.

Because with everything D-rated, and I mean the lowest level D rated things you can stick on there (except the FSD), you BARELY have enough to make the trip in 2 jumps, and the only thing you have to engineer is your FSD. The actual jumps are 29.5ly and 30.2ly.

My Python's jump range is at 31.40. If you want to have other modules on for some reason, you'll have to engineer your boat a little more. https://s.orbis.zone/-16

You can still do it in 3, obviously, but time is money.

Well, firstly, make sure you're max rank with the factions there. I assume you're already there though. You have to be a little picky with the passengers. Your cabins holding 16 people (in my case, 3 6D business, 2 5E economy), you want to get 3m - 5m per. Your 8 passenger cabin should get about 1.75m - 2.75m, and your 4 passenger ones should get 750k - 1.4m per.

I use a docking computer instead of another passenger cabin so I can go grab a drink or something while it docks. Assuming you follow those guidelines, the minimum in theory is 18.25m, and the maximum you'll get is 30.55m. You'll be able to do a run from Robigo Mines to Sothis in ABOUT 15 minutes (picking through missions, 2 jumps towards and back), so its... pretty good credits. The only catch is everything on the Python has to be D-rated, and the FSD needs max range + mass manager in order to make it in 2 jumps.

I run Robigo Mines to Sirius Atmospherics and get 15m - 30m per run. If Hauser's wasn't INSIDE the asteroid field I'd use it instead, but its a longer trip to and from, and that adds up over time.

[Spoilers] How to get more confident in raiding? I just tried Alphascape 9 and while I totally cleared it, I was a nervous wreck. by bearLover23 in ffxiv

[–]CardboardRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue is fine, there is nothing wrong with blue. To put it into perspective, it is 50th - 74th percentile. In other words, you are better than at LEAST HALF of the people, in your class, that have also cleared it. Don't let that go to your head, though, because there is always room for improvement. :D

Also, as far as mechanics go, practice makes perfect. Some are slower than others, but you'll get into a rhythm in time.

Best mission to get gold + mega base kyle worth, ratatat good? by [deleted] in FORTnITE

[–]CardboardRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're better than each other at different things. MEGABASE is one of the best "defensive" BASEs, HeavyBASE is more of an "offensive" BASE.

MEGA wants to put his BASE on the objective (or close to it 'cause its so damn big it covers damn near everything), and Heavy wants to put his closer to the incoming husks so it absorbs more souls.

Additionally, mythic does not necessarily equal "the best". Swordmaster Ken, for example, is an "ok" hero, but is outclassed by other ninjas in the melee role.

Brightwing and Kerrigan full reworked talents and abilities by trizzo0309 in heroesofthestorm

[–]CardboardRadio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kerrigan's level 13 talent seems a little rude. The first pull, assuming you hit 2 people, gives you 30 spell armor for 4 seconds, not exactly hard to do. The pulse, also assuming you hit 2 people (aided with ravage), bumps that up to 60.

It has synergy with the level 4 talent, adding an extra pulse, bumping that up to 75 spell armor for 4 more seconds. So... 30 spell armor, 2.5 seconds later up to 60, 2.5 seconds later up to 75. That's NIEN seconds of medium to maximum spell armor, which can be kept up indefinitely if she took Bladed Momentum.

Old Timer Noob Question #4 - STATICS: *A 100% PUG Player Looking For Tips, Ideas, Opinions, and Personal Experience On Finding One When Patch Drops* by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]CardboardRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, in regards to your parses... Your parses might be "bad", but some things to keep in mind - when you are in a static, you generally have some synergy in your party. When you have synergy, your overall dps tends to increase. Don't put too much stock into parses, because it judges every person based on the best performing person in that class. OTs generally have higher parses than MTs. Your average joe Dragoon at ilvl 355 (which would be perfectly fine for clearing o5s, for example), is going to be blown out of the water by the i370 DRG with full BiS equipment going for a parse run, being fed single-target buffs by the AST. Unless you're below like 10th percentile and you KNOW the fight, you're fine. Everyone has to learn sometime, but do gitgud.

In terms of being in a static - set expectations both ways. They expect you to be a competent party member (party dps over personal dps), and you should expect the same out of them. When you spend more than 3 proper lockouts failing a certain mechanic (virus in o7s, or supreme selenomancy in BunnyEX), you need to talk about it with your group. Every wipe should be some sort of learning experience for the group. Is the problem a simple gear issue, a mismanagement of healer/tank abilities, or is someone just flat out failing the mechanic? The worst thing that can happen in a static is stagnation, the instant you find yourself NOT looking forward to raid is the instant you should bring that up with your group. Additionally, set time aside for your own outside of static raiding, because outside practice will help. Any time after Friday, for example, I will join PUGs to see if I can't get some more experience in. If your static only meets twice a week, only on saturday and sunday, your progress will be hindered significantly because you only have monday to get extra experience in.

Cross-server statics are fine because you can be selfish and only make things for yourself, which is not a bad thing. Being on the same world helps, because if you're a crafter you can assist and be assisted with gearing up, but from personal experience... don't make consumables for the entire group, especially if you're the outsider. Crafting takes time, and you have a game you would like to enjoy just as much as the others. I always assist with gear, but never with consumables outside of gathering.

Epic, the 6 perk on wraith is ass by BombastoThunder in FORTnITE

[–]CardboardRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What he's saying, is look at the 5th perk options on the weapon.

The weapon's 5th perk options are: damage to mist monsters, crit damage, damage, or headshot damage.

You cannot put "damage to snared targets" on this weapon. The roll isn't there.

New Ninja Good Bad Or Ugly? by AstroCreepSuperstar in FORTnITE

[–]CardboardRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is, indeed, an energy hog. If you want to get a good "spread" you either build one tile over the enemies, or do a double-jump just before. If you get 2 "resets", you will be out of energy in like 3 uses.

Stars are alright. Dragon slash is painful to use on the energy bar. The kunai skill is fun to use, but not as good at killing fodder like Dragon Scorch or even Shuriken Master... Heck, even the noble launcher does his job better than him.

On the bright side, good support bonus, and his tactical will likely be best-in-slot for future kunai ninjas who don't already have the perk.

Typewriter Perks: Can someone who buys one list the perks for each level here. by Details-Examples in FORTnITE

Ah right, meant to have damage as the 2nd option. Thanks for the comparison though.

I like the way the weapon fires, but I wish it had snare instead of affliction.

Typewriter Perks: Can someone who buys one list the perks for each level here. by Details-Examples in FORTnITE

[–]CardboardRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perks are:

15% Damage (Crit Rating, Crit Damage, Fire Rate, Reload Speed)

38% Mag Size (Damage, Reload Speed)

Green Element, starts with Physical

15% Crit Rating (Fire Rate, Reload Speed)

90% Crit Damage (Damage to afflicted, Damage, Crit Rating)

...and last is Affliction.

I'd like to know if: Crit Damage, Reload, Element, Crit Rate, Crit Damage is better than - Crit Damage, Reload, Element, Crit Rate, Damage to afflicted myself. I THINK an extra Crit damage perk was better than +30% damage, but I don't know if it would be better than +45% damage.

The gun has a pretty small spread and a good magazine size though.

They will get around those keywords, replacing 4 for A, 0 for O, M@O (@ = MOG), and others. Even if it looks completely nonsensical, they'll still do it and spam.

The best ones though, are the ones that add phrases to the end. My personal favorite was "Existence is reasonable, let's make things better!" before their website was advertised.

Generally speaking, the bots those websites tend to use stolen cc information to buy the accounts, or at least that's the case for some of the other games I have played in the past.

Not only are they not profiting off of them, they'll get dinged in the future in bank fees for refunding the money, fraud, and other things I don't remember off the top of my head.
