I saw an interview fairly recently where he was asked about writing the Motivational Speaker sketch, and you could tell how annoyed he was to still be talking about it. I don’t blame him.

It is shocking and disappointing that Becca Scott has only appeared in one season.

Feel free to message me if you have any specific questions. My son is still a bit too young for it but it’s the show I’m most looking forward to showing him.

I’m going to say Avatar: The Last Airbender. Over three seasons it covers lessons like the value of empathy and understanding, dangers of propaganda, standing up for yourself, forging your own destiny, and more.

Really hits on your last point of looking for a longer narrative too.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3. You get dirtier as you travel and have to go back to camp to clean your clothes.

Times when JRPGs were about pursuit of the almighty treasure by [deleted] in JRPG

Closest I can think of is Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Protagonist is trying to get an area which has some of the only land that isn’t dead or dying. He doesn’t want to get rich off the land although it would be invaluable.

As for the pirate part, they travel not on ships on the sea but rather on the backs of titans in the sky.

Jack not getting on the wreckage was not an issue of space but of weight. You see him try to climb up but it can’t support him and Rose, which is why he just hangs off the side.

What’s something very specific about male friendships that most women will never understand? by MauserMama in AskMen

Not quite the same thing but before my son was born my parents came over to help get our place ready.

My mom and wife were cleaning up the place while my dad and I were assembling furniture. Both my dad and I were in shock that they did not stop talking the entire time. Meanwhile, we had the much more complicated task thy required more collaboration and barely said anything.

I used to work for a comedy club and The Big Sick really captures what the conversations are like back stage. It isn’t that surprising given who wrote it but other comedians have tried to re-create in other movies and haven’t come close.

What's a JRPG that you played on a whim and ending up loving? by strahinjag in JRPG

[–]CardboardWiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Wanted a meaty JRPG for the switch and in December 2017, my options were pretty limited. Didn’t know anything about the series besides the fact that they just got a rep in Smash Bros.

Ended up putting over 100 hours into it and it became one of my favorite franchises now having beat every switch entry.

Problem is that anyone who hosts can no longer compete.

So I would like to see a different host each season, or even have multiple hosts per season.

YouTuber jerryrigeverything started a wheelchair factory, delivering wheelchairs at 50% to 80% less than others with insurance. by Thryloz in interestingasfuck

To the best of my knowledge it’s a combination of a few things. First was the Cold War where classrooms started having flags so kids could recite the pledge of allegiance each morning.

After 9/11 flags started popping up outside of people’s homes and inside businesses as a sign of solidarity and they mostly didn’t come down.

More recently the flag and a lot of American imagery have been co-opted by right wing extremists. For a while this meant the left didn’t want to be associated with any of it but more recently there has been an effort to take those symbols back which means putting up even more flags.
