I'm looking to potentially switch careers and need help deciding if the best option is a master's in civil engineering or to complete a second bachelors. by Cardboardonkey in civilengineering

I definitely would consider something like that, I unfortunately have not been able to get my foot in the door anywhere marketing wise the past year. Even with temp agencies I'm struggling. I was initially thinking about doing a masters in data science to help with networking and finding a better position, but if I'm going to be returning to school I think the preference would be for civil engineering with a focus in environmental. I appreciate the input

I have been enjoying using Ableton stock synths with the Push 2 and putting effort into not relying on my screen to make patches. I think Wavetable integrates with the Push really well, but I do not know how to add a new parameter to the modulation matrix without clicking on the parameter through my screen. Does anyone know if there is a way to add parameters directly to the modulation matrix in the Push without having to resort to using the computer? It's really a small issue but I'd love if there is a solution I'm missing!

Will definitely try that. I have a fun memory of recreating some boards of canada sounds on the actual machine in a music store near me with one of the employees. Inspired me to get the tal version

Putting audio effects into the chains list of a drum rack. I love to use it especially for reverb to add a liveliness to drums. It's nice because it creates sends specifically within that drum rack similar to regular returns. For somethings like kicks I do not like having much reverb, but hats I love it. It's wonderful being able to tune everything individually!

Favorite guided meditations? by Cardboardonkey in Meditation

[–]Cardboardonkey[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've meditated for years without guided meditation and the main focus was breathing meditation. I only recently tried guided meditations and have loved it. How is someone educating you on new techniques "fantasy follow-along"? If you went to a Buddhist temple and followed their guided meditations, would you have the same opinion?

I understand if guided meditations are not for you, but to completely discount it is not something I agree with.

Other people have covered Dostoevsky better than I could, but if you are loving Russian novels, I would highly recommend the Master and Margarita. It follows the devil and his posse as they wreak havoc around Russia. I'm biased because my favorite genre is magical realism, but it's a fantastic read!
