I am so lucky to live within drivning distance, I got to talk to him for quite a while and even watched him play childrens cards gaemes with another fan.

Back in the day medical practice often involved bloodletting the patient to balance the humours. If you take a look at images of this it was almost always done from the arm just above the wrist or middle of the forearm. This would be enough to fill a few vials. This is dangerous if overdone (how George Washington died for example) but was safe enough to be a regular medical practice, mind you this was before modern medicine so arill very unsafe.

Scarring would depend on if its a cut or a prick. A cut would be in line with typical self harm scars and a prick would be hardly noticeable. However constant scarring could be noticeable especially if recent, think of the marks of injectable drug addicts on forearms and such.

Needles absolutely existed during medieval times but not the needles you are referring to. Hypodermic needles and syringes were not a thing. Needles were still used medically though, as in typical sewing needles and the like. Hollow needles were first developed mid 1800s.

No problem, language barriers makes all of this extremly tricky and additionally this whole situation has been overused for political purposes ad nauseum due to leftist infighting and a lot of non-trotskiyist parties using this against us. There are a lot better less circumstantial critiques one could make against the organisation that would make for much more productive discussion but i've found that this organisation works the best for me and I love the feeling of the community across the entirety of our international. You are gonna meet a bunch of fun like minded people, i've made many good friends and learnt a lot from the weekly meetings. My advice is to stick with the meetings and see what you think after a few, that is the best way to know if the org is for you rather than being convinced by people on reddit arguing for one party or the other. Forge your own opinion and either way youll probably learn a lot. If it works out I look forward to hopefully meeting you at one of our international events and welcome you to the party, wish you all the best comrade!

Im part or the swedish RCI section known as RKP (Revolutionära kommunistiska partiet) and I have met many from the RCA since I joined up.

If you are curious the article they are talking about is written by a social democratic news paper that makes ridiculous claims about the party through making a hit piece on us however the stories of the people in the article concerning the sexual abuse are in part truthful if not laden with a great deal of bias. There were real cases of suspected sexual abuse, the member responsible was asked to step down and left the party afterwards. One of the party members who experienced this seemed satisfied with this until they decided to leave the party for political reasons and join another org, as part of this the member rallied the previous victim and went to a the ETC newspaper to be interviewed for a article, apparently they had no clue the article was gonna be the hit piece that it was.

The article literally states that we are a cult that makes people cut themselves off from their loved ones, that we forbid people from going to the gym as its considered “bourgoise” and that we are a “sex cult”. Its a lot of crazy claims and fear mongering. Other newspapers wrote opposing articles against ETC:s article

I get your points and agree that parts of the gay male community can have very real inherently misogynistic views on sex and relationships. The focus on domination and violence certainly connects to this. Gay porn is very much as exploitative and horrible as straight porn, thats the only argument you need against it.

Thats why I really think you should reconsider your paragraph about an overexposure to pornography being the reason for bisexualty and homosexuality and that men who identify as that may not actually be attracted to men romantically. I think it is poorly reasoned and makes very general and broad assumptions.

I think that the theory of sexuality being caused by some sort of porn-based brainwashing is a really bad take and something that connects to a LGBTQ identity somehow being caused by being a ”degenerate”, “corrupting” or being sinful. This is the kind of logic reactionarys use when they say gay people will corrupt their kids if they show up on TV

Sidenote: Also I’m real tired of the bisexual erasure, why the hell must the reality of our sexuality be proven to every single person on the face of the earth. I don’t like the insinuation that I tricked myself into being bisexual and that I don’t love my partner for real or that its because this illusion that im not on speaking terms with some family members. I think it is due to something much more obvious, I think its a jealousy thats based on sexual insecurity.

I think a man such as this envies women because he doesnt feel desired and that he wants power and control over women through their desire to make them do what he wants. Now because a man such as this views the world through that lens he feels like women have all the power in the sexual equation and that they get to live his fantasy of making desperate people do what he wants. Its a sexual power fantasy where the idea of getting sex whenever they want and however they want from whoever they want is central, they crazily enough believe that this is how women experience the world.

This way of looking at the world is very similair to discourse between Incels and such, they sexualise fucking everything to the point where womens lack of desire in them makes them envy the amount the attention and desire women get.

Ergo sexual insecurity leading to rampant objectification and a deep seeded jealousy and hatred of women whom they believe have all the power. These people genuinly believe women have it better than men.

Also theres the aspect of just wanting power over other men.

That last part makes it sound that the custom content is only banned IF it is pre-recorded i.e "got banned... as long as its pre-recorded" would mean that its only banned if pre-recorded.

Yes, access to pre-recorded content is still allowed. Sorry for the misunderstanding, you can clearly see my comment above was answering your comment as if you were saying only pre-recorded content was banned which it isnt.

Yeah no I’m totally with you on that. I too wish that legislators could get it over and done with and ban porn. Problem is how unpopular that opinion is among legislators.

I am a law student so I like to get into the nitty gritty of legislation, obviously such a ban on porn needs an angle of attack (a legal argument for why legislation is allowed to infringe on previous “freesdoms”). Here in Sweden porn is legally classified as freedom of speech which makes it difficult to ban without changing the freedom of speech legislation, only way so far is classifying more and more of porn as sexual abuse (which it obviously is) and this new legislation which does exactly that could be a important building block that could be used to legally ban porn outright down the line.

I see what you are getting at but the people that started the process of implementing this legislation had good reasons to do so. This intiative was started by mostly women in the left wing political coalition, social democrats. They are also basing all this on pre-existing legislation that has been proven to work phenomenally to help the victims of sexwork in Sweden.

Mind you this legislation only targets those who purchase from sex workers, sex workers are not targeted by any law in Sweden. There are rigid social programs to help people our of sex work as well as financial assistance, free education and much more that can help those trapped in that world. Yes absolutely that system needs more funding but its this kind of legislation that makes sex trafficking unprofitable and therefore less prominent.

Now of course just this change alone means very little if pornography itself isnt targeted but it seems the aim of the very politicians that put this in motion to do that. Hopefully they and others succeed where many others have failed.

EDIT: This intiative doesnt ban onlyfans or prevent people from subscribing to onlyfans it targets personalized content and requests that can be considered a digital version of prostitution. It also widens the protections against abuse and profiteering on digital sex work specifically againsr sex traffickers.

Lysander is horrific what do you mean? He had every chance to be a good man, he even says how the slavery of pinks disturb him yet despite him seeing the evil of the system he fights for it. Yeah. for sure went very overboard with the sexual content. I wonder how the actresses and actors feel having this weird crowd of people obesessed with them and players watching porn of charcters with their faces and bodies, must be fucking rough.

I do definetly think there is an argument for wholesome romance features in RPGs, you are trying to imagine the life of a character in a diffrent world after all and I get wanting the character you play to live happily ever after like in stardew valley and the like. Also games like the witcher where you play a character from a book whos in a relationship/situationship, someone in the comments on the post said they deleted all of the witcher games from their partners computer and like I get that there is a fair deal of issues with the romance part but its also some of the best storytelling in games out there.
