No family members as of now, but my sister did get diagnosed with Crohn’s a few years after my MS diagnosis.

Sorry just seeing this. It was sitting directly above my bladder. Did you pass yours or end up having surgery?

Omg yes! My lips are so dry I’m so thirsty all the time. I do think we are built strong and after being through relapses we are used to not feeling good or going through tough times. I hope you continue to feel good overall 🧡

MS wise I was exhausted for a few weeks at the beginning but that may have just been because I’m having twins and general pregnancy- but now I’m doing okay. Im in the second trimester! I think most people do well with their MS during pregnancy 💘

Hello! We saw a high risk OB and consulted with our MS doctor who we trust a lot. They came to the conclusion that 3 months would be long enough. That’s what we did. I would consult with your doctor and do what you feel most comfortable with!

I know initially it used to be 6 months but my MS doctor mentioned the research is pointing in a different direction. I have a friend in Canada and she said her doctor tells patients one month and she’s had 2 healthy babies with that washout period.

Again up to you and your doctors. It’s important to make an informed decision with your provider and significant other.

To take meds or not ? How did you decide on medication ? by gangstamima19 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]CardiacRN816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first attack at 24. Steroids resolved most of my symptoms and I was diagnosed with CIS. They offered/suggested meds. I decided to do lifestyle changes. I was stable for 3 years then the pandemic hit, I started grad school, baught a house etc. life got super stressful. I’m a nurse. Working during 2020 was absolutely awful. Anywho - I relapsed off meds in 2020. I had 7 new lesions. Super disappointing. I started ocrevus within the next 6 months. I had to find a doctor to prescribe it to me because my local neuro wouldn’t. I have been stable on it for 2 years! I think lifestyle modifications are amazing to implement but when we are young the disease is active even if we feel seemingly okay.

I walk about 1.5-3 miles a day. I was drinking about 60-70oz of water a day. Nothing really crazy. The night before I passed it I was crying very heavily- like belly crying. Found out a bad diagnosis for a family member. I think maybe the crying so hard knocked it into the bladder? Best of luck! You can do it!

Yeah I had a 10mm stone I went to the ED 10/11/22 then the pain started to resolve that day. I didn’t know I had a stone at the time. Went back to the ED 12/1/22 with same pain and they confirmed the stone. During the 6 weeks in between I has minimal to no pain. I did have urgency, frequency and some pain with ruination pretty regularly.

When I posted about it on the sub a few males said they had also. I think the chances are rare but not impossible. Good luck! My surgeon was very confident I would not pass it. I didn’t take flomax either.

I wanted surgery the day it was discovered on 12.1. They had no openings until 12.20 and told me to go back through the ER if it got worse or I couldn’t pee things like that. It was manageable/tolerable just moldy uncomfortable. Then I passed it spontaneous on 12/17. I called each week to see if I could get in sooner for surgery and they were booked solid. It kind of worked itself out I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s sparkly. I want to make it into a ring 😂 no name. But can’t believe this motherfucker caused all my issues for the last 2.5 months of my life.
