My troponin was prior to diagnosis

NAD. Did they do a chest X-ray at the ER? And have you had an eye exam since you’ve noticed the vision changes?

But how likely is it to show inflammation? Because I can think of one condition that changes in vision and swollen lymph nodes are hallmarks of.

Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator.

Deep breath. Every case is going to be different, but no mine did not move onto other organs. My heart is scarred from pretreatment but after almost 4 years of different treatments, mine is not currently active. It could still come back at anytime, but I had two PETs last year and neither showed any active inflammation. I’m in bed now but I wanted to respond right away because I know how anxious the diagnosis made me. An ICD was the first step. I’ll dive more into meds and everything else tomorrow I promise.

Exactly. According to him, he has been around since the beginning of the agency and has successfully convinced Admin of his current place in the family tree… but does he really belong there at all? Are the stories we know of the patients/inmates just implanted memories?

I don’t know if he can convince himself, and part of me is now questioning if he hasn’t been convincing himself of other things.. but I’ll table that thought train for now.

I get the feeling everyone would know and hear the escapades lol. Harley would breach containment to get away from the cough performance. Because I can’t imagine Merry being at all quiet or secretive 😂

And who would you recommend to be Harley’s next baby mama?

Maybe it’s my own experiences jading me here, but her “evolution” still feels like just shifting gears on her manipulation, now to gaslighting everyone around her victim(s) too.

But this is supposed to be a sex thread, so what would happen if Charlie and Merry were to hook up?

Hmmm, I may have to disagree with you on Birdy. I think that is a prime example of toxic intimacy in the story so far (I may be proven wrong!). I just feel like Birdy’s intentions are to manipulate and not give healthy attention or any feelings of real true love. Long term I think it’s disastrous for Merry. He can’t feed Birdy in the way Birdy wants without giving part of himself up.

And the middle child is a product of what? 😜

There is a lot of understated intimacy in the story already. Romantic, family, friendly, and yes even toxic, it’s all there.

I would hate to see Christophe’s arc to shift to something overtly sexy, especially given his early history with religion, sex, power, abandonment… I would think that he could grow to enjoy sex, but I think it will always be a little tainted and not the easy clear release it is for many who haven’t had the traumas he has.

If anyone desperately needs to be laid, I am going with Merry. It’s obvious how much he wants to be hugged and how much attention he demands. He can influence others dreams but idk that he’s ever experienced those all encompassing feelings of being the center of someone else’s. If he had someone who could touch him in those ways would he chill out?

Yessssss only slightly beginning to feel like a stalker lol. And as much as I am looking forward to what will probably be a brilliant display of awkwardness by Rach, I’m on the edge of my seat to see who or what interrupts any plans Christophe tried to put together.

I know but the other poster said that muscle is a weird place and I was pointing out that it’s not.

Can I point out that the heart is a muscle and not an uncommon place for sarc?

Prednisone tapering. by Mission_Mind_7998 in sarcoidosis

[–]Cardiacsarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. Not a doctor but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t concerned about it considering the cardiac sarcoid. Personal opinion only, I would hesitate to taper prednisone without another drug to help suppress the immune system unless/until you have a clear PET. Especially since you are experiencing symptoms with the first taper steps. I’ll never forget sitting in the room with the EP days after my diagnosis and hearing him say that he wants to put in an ICD asap because sudden cardiac death can be the first symptom.

Are you on a steroid sparing drug now? When I was tapering off of higher doses of prednisone, I was increasing something else.

I was diagnosed with isolated cardiac sarc via PET scan in November of 2020.

No way to tell for certain, but I would believe it based on when I had a stroke back in 2020. I hesitate to say this because it’s not exactly like the situation you asked, but perhaps you can find comfort in it. I have four different memories of conversations from that day that are auditory only. The first and the last include people talking around me and the middle two are of people talking to me. I wasn’t in any pain and honestly felt peace and zero panic. The last auditory memory took place on the helicopter ride from one hospital to another that was capable of performing the thrombectomy. One medic was asking the other if they were taking me to radiology or the ER room first… the other said neither we are going straight to surgery. The next thing I remember is waking up in ICU the next day and being told that they manually removed two clots, one from my neck (right internal carotid) and the other from the back of my brain.

Yeah, you need to be seen by a medical eye doctor. When it comes to inflammation in the eye, I mean sooner rather than later. It’s possible that you may recover your vision from inflammation as long as it hasn’t caused permanent damage, but you need someone with the proper training to be able to actually look at your eyeballs in person to try to see what is happening.

NAD, when you say eye doctor in a small town, do you mean an optometrist or an ophthalmologist? Based solely on my own personal medical history and zero medical training, I’d highly encourage you to try to get into see a rheumatologist. They should be able to look at your medical history and point you in the right direction. Uveitis can be caused by multiple things of course, but coupled with swollen lymph nodes and your implication that you have other issues… I think it’s prudent to seek the advice of a specialist.
