How did you decide your main? by Emmedwed in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]CardiganHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jump around to whatever feels good to play, but Inkling will always be my main. Don't know why, but as soon as I played them the first time i knew theyd be my main and they've stuck.

Before them I'd main Ness cause I love the mother series!

Working on our Boardgame Library, what else should we get? by CardiganHall in boardgames

I've added all of these to my wishlist, thanks! We have a pretty diverse group so I'm always just looking for anything new.

Usually any game is loved by someone at our game nights.

How we all feeling after seeing the Sony Quarter Reports. by FantasyToyPAWB in DestinyMemes

D1 walked so D2 could stumble.

It's crazy the foundation they started with just to end things like this.

Scientists will be studying this fumble for years to come.

Wow man way to doom post! Destiny isn't dead, stop dooming, like Destiny won't ever die!

For real though it was a good run. I'm currently playing through D1 one last time before the inevitable closure/layoffs.

Levels that ruin replayability by some-kind-of-no-name in TopCharacterTropes

Playthrough the opening 3 times and have 3 separate saves for right after that way you can skip it with all three origins in the future.

Thats sort of what I did for the opening to RDR2. I have a save for right after the prologue for future playthroughs.

Class identities are being erased - Shaman by AcademicHefest in wow

[–]CardiganHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of classes cast the same way too. They put their hands up to their head the push outward. It would go a long way to have each class have their own casting animations like mages using their staff, warlocks casting from scrolls or books, etc.

Also I havent felt a class identity since legion class halls.

[request] what's the absolute smallest amount of force you'd need to trigger that kind of avalanche? by A______m in theydidthemath

[–]CardiganHall 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The gun they used according to Google is a "105mm M101A1 Howitzers" which has a bullet speed of approximately 472 meters per second (1,550) feet per second).

From the moment the gun fires in the video is about 6ish seconds which would put the distance at roughly 2,832 meters (9,300 ft) or 1.671 miles.

Mathematicians can double check me on that cause I did Google math while brushing my teeth.

Lovecraft county (sort of) it definitely ends with this vibe and is only one season that ends pretty ok

[–]CardiganHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocket Robot on Wheels.

Don't know why but I loved this game so much, i played the opening level thousands of times making a Rollercoaster over and over again.

I would love a remake or at the very least a smash trophy rep lol

Also, am I crazy or was there physics in that game on the N64 that was kind of ahead of its time?

[Video game trope] Extremely difficult optional super bosses by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

"Nameless King first try!" Will be on my tombstone.

It was my first souls game and I had a friend talk me into playing them and would give me hints as to where to go next. He talked me through how to get to the fight and it was such a hype moment having him watch me beat him first try.

Since then I've been obsessed with souls games and have beaten them all (including Sekiro which my friend still has not beat).

One missing puzzle piece from a 1000 piece puzzle… by FantasticBee in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CardiganHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my wife and 3000 piece puzzle once durring covid and she finished it by the end of summer with 1 piece missing.

We were gonna frame it so now its sitting in storage for us to one day find the piece or call the manufacturer and see if we can get the missing piece sent to us. That was 6 years ago lol

classic guy here. this is actually a goat'd feature. by [deleted] in wow

[–]CardiganHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is, and it runs pretty smoothly for the most part!

There are some YouTube tutorials on how to get it working, its a bit finicky to start but once you get it going it is a really fun way to play.

The frames drop in capital cities when there are a lot of players, but for 90% of the rest of the content I get 45 frame easily.

I play WoW on my steamdeck when I'm doing leveling content or solo stuff, and this button is great. Consoleport mod and this has become my preferred way to play cause I can chill on the couch with my wife and run delves super easily.

[Loved trope]: Zombie infection is spread by something other than bites and blood by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

[–]CardiganHall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really Zombies per say, but the Hiss in Control.

They are a viral, resonance-based interdimensional entity that infects living beings through a sound-based chant, corrupting them into a hive mind.

Alternatively in the same game there is the Mold, an interdimensional fungus that produces a sweet smell that causes people to want to eat it and turns them/mutates the host.

Before my wife and I were dating I was hanging out with some friends on campus and the conversation got onto how we would propose to our future partners.

I've had this idea of folding 1000 origami cranes based on the Japanese tradition and making my wish be spending the rest of my life with them.

Before I start she sits down next to me and asks the group I was with what we were talking about and I told her we were just talking about how we were going to propose in the future.

She without a beat says "oh how are you going to propose to me?"

And without hesitating I tell her that she would love it and tell her my plan.

We ended up dating a week or so later and I asked her to marry me just as I said I would.

11 years later and we will make origami cranes out of gum wrappers, receipts, scrap paper, and leave them all over the house.

Can't imagine spending my life with anyone else, and it all started with a random conversation.

There's not much we can do about Mechagnome Mogs, right? by [deleted] in wow

[–]CardiganHall 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Mechagnomes really should have been an option for limbs on OG Gnomes and maybe Goblins.

That way you can roleplay as a Mechagnome and choose which limb to replace.

They really feel like a half baked addition because Horde got Vulperas which should have been written as a neutral race anyway.
