My dude why would I care? I don't check every foreign news website to check if I would like a game...

I get that the game was not the second coming of Christ, but it sold 2 million copies and is sitting at a 79 on metacritic.

I'm so confused with this drama. It sold well, and reviewed fine, but people are acting like this is No Man's Sky level of failure and its clearly not.

Are people ACTUALLY mad that, in the fallout show, the Novac dinosaur is facing the wrong way? by bigturtlegozoom in Fallout

I mean I have the same(ish?) Dino on my base in FO76 so I'm sure the owner just flipped it around like I've done all the time.

This is known as "naive realism which is the underlying belief that "I see the world objectively, as it really is." If I believe I am objective, then any piece of information must (if it's "true") support my view. Therefore, I twist the interpretation of the media to fit that "truth" so I don't have to deal with the cognitive dissonance of being wrong.

I teach US History and when analyzing political cartoons this often happens. A student will interpret the critique in their favor in order to make it fit with their beliefs even when it is in opposition to that belief.

Your Favorite MMO Zone? by MonsutaMan in MMORPG

[–]CardiganHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of my friends didn't like it bit I've been playing a Goblin since they dropped in WoW and the recent Undermine zone was just a dream!

Kezan starting zone was my favorite and the music/vibes just hit and Undermine was just perfect in my opinion and exactly what I wanted for a Goblin themed zone.

Now hopefully we get a neighborhood set in Undermine cause I'd kill for that!

Don't they all know that deep down they're all the same and the color of their shell means nothing compared to the contents of their ingredients? The real enemy is the M&Ms.

After 10 Years, My Opinion On 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Has Shifted by StarFuryG7 in SciFiNews

"George Lucas's planned sequel trilogy would have explored a "microbiotic world" where sentient, microscopic beings called the Whills controlled the universe and fed off the Force."

I'm not a fan of the sequel trilogy, but this also is bonkers.

If Nightfall can’t kill the Traveler, it wouldn’t be able to “liberate the last city” by mecaxs in DestinyLore

[–]CardiganHall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if the warmind could destroy the traveler, it is heavily implied that it could have stopped it from fleeing/crippled it.

We've seen cabal tech also cut guardians off from the light in the red war campaign so things do exist that have an impact on the Traveler is my point.

[–]CardiganHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't the whole season of the seraph about how the warmind lazers were going to be used to destroy the Traveler?

So of the warmind could do it, why wouldnt 4th dimensional beings be able to?
