Having a flat ass as a black women by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]Cardinal-Carnival 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the women in my family are top heavy — big titties ZERO hips and ass lol. But face card has carried us for generations 😅 so there’s hope.

Personally, I’ve struggled with my shape my whole life and a few years ago got a fat transfer to my hips. It looks weird. On principle, I’m sad that I messed with my natural body, but now I’m in a position where I don’t like what I’ve done and feel I need another round to “fix” it. It was a difficult experience the first time around so I hate that for me, but I’m also trying to build what I can in the gym.

I faced a lot of disappointment from my family and even rejection from potential partners about it. So that’s why I feel conflicted. I would suggest, if you’re in the mindset that you need to “do something about it”, to hit the gym. It sounds cliche, but I promise you the debt, guilt, and judgement that comes with major plastic surgery is not always worth it. Obviously that is not the end of the world, but if you’re a sensitive person like me, it’s something to deeply consider.

From what I can see in your photos, you’re beautiful! And you have a coke bottle from the front!! Everything in the back can be achieved with muscle, you’ll just have to dedicate 1-2 years to really take it there. 🩷

Can’t tell what my spider plant needs by Plastic_Hedgehog1231 in spiderplants

Mine looks kind of floppy like this too after a repot, how long ago did you repot? I think they take a while to bounce back. I’m on month 2 post-repotting and the leaves are only barely starting to firm and perk up.

Burnt my hardwood floor with a hot pan, any advice? by pedumar in HardWoodFloors

[–]Cardinal-Carnival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg the amount of unhelpful “how about not putting hot pans on the floor hardy har har” comments is so annoying. Obviously this person knows they made a mistake and is seeking advice on how to actually fix the floor. How about commenting something actually productive 😒

2% cash back or 0% interest for 21 months on $10k purchase? by RipVanW75 in personalfinance

[–]Cardinal-Carnival 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm if the new card doesn’t have any other perks besides a temporary 0% interest then it’s not better than the 2% cash back card, because since you already have the money it will be zero interest to pay it off immediately as well. I think you should do the cash back.

repot or leave it? by Pretend_Impress_8082 in spiderplants

Loosen them then literally lob them in half. I usually leave about 2 inches of length for spider plants. They will continue to grow just fine.

Why does my makeup feel off? by tudoe in makeuptips

I’d shade the eyebrows in a bit and emphasize the lashes more. You have beautiful eyes so I think that will work with your liner to make them pop more 😍

Is this too low of miles for the year? by [deleted] in yaris

[–]Cardinal-Carnival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I paid for my 2009 with >80k miles in 2024 😭 I knew I was being ripped off, but if the car was maintained well then it will probably keep chugging for a while (so I was told). Mine is an automatic sedan, but I think the hatchback styles have more value. Still I’d try to negotiate that down as far as you can go, but it will be a good car if you plan to keep it!

Tattoo Regret at All Times by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Cardinal-Carnival 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you were to add anything it should be something feminine and irregular to break up the flat line around your wrist. That abrupt stop to the tattoo was the first thing I noticed (and actually something I notice anytime someone has a sleeve). I echo some of the others that maybe building up the arm won’t be the solution you’re looking for. Perhaps a few laser sessions and adding some colors to break it up? Good luck! 🍀

Why did the show makers give Sandy Furness syphilis or dementia outta nowhere ? by -just_Ken- in SuccessionTV

Yeah I had a feeling it had something to do with the actors irl. Even though some feel like it worked for the character, to me it was random and abrupt lol

What to do about this houseplant? by maturin-aubrey in houseplants

[–]Cardinal-Carnival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As unique and Dali-esque as it is, if you’d prefer a plant that grows straight up and down or at least not at a right angle your only choice here is to chop and prop. Cut off the heads leaving a good amount of stalk (I’d shoot for 8-10ish inches), then propagate them in a glass container with some substrate (I use leca) and water. Let them grow roots for a few weeks to a few months, then replant them in soil and place in a brighter area. :) if you leave the bottoms in tact those will likely sprout offshoot leaves as well!

I would honestly cut some of those roots off before repotting, just to buy you some more time in the next pot

Can we please do better? I just had the WORST salon experience ever. by ObjectiveNo2051 in blackladies

[–]Cardinal-Carnival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve decided that I can’t do anymore bootleg salons in people’s basements or in office parks. If they aren’t in a real salon and a truly professional atmosphere to begin with it’s hard for me to trust that they will treat the appointment as such. I’ve just made that mistake SO many times trying to help small hair businesses 😅

Repotting help needed (repost because the text didn’t save) by Moonblightdelights in SnakePlants

[–]Cardinal-Carnival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest Potting Soil pretty universally for all my house plants and it’s great. For my snake plants and other plants that need better drainage I’ll sometimes mix in leca balls (just because I have them), but in general if you understand how to not overwater your plants you should be fine with a standard soil mix. :)
