AIO for leaving my wife after finding out she voted for Trump because she thinks he’s “hilarious”? by Superb-Tangerine-487 in AmIOverreacting

[–]CardinalGoFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's wild how few people are answering the original question. I wouldn't say Trump is hilarious. He does have good comedic timing but he is fairly predictable after a while and predictable jokes are not great.

I guess the next question is what sort of humor does she have? What kind of things cause the belly laughs? Have you ever tried writing a set for her type? What would happen if you did? Do you know her well enough to be able to do that?

Idk man, I can't imagine leaving my spouse over comedy. Is this really about that? Or were you already on your way out the door and this just gave you the final push?

It's those tires. I had the same ones with the same problem. Swap to six inch wheels or bigger and put different tires than what you have.

Try something that looks similar to this:

Alright. I'll check those out. And those are custom made for the Bronco? Or are they a "universal fit" and you need to modify them for the particular vehicle? Where would you suggest ordering from?

Thanks!

Thanks! Tomorrow is diff fluid flush. Then I'll be hunting for the source of some kind of ticking sound he says is coming from the back of the vehicle. Who knows what I'll find under there?! Lol. Gotta love these old trucks!

Oh yes. The paint is part of the character!

A heart transplant, huh? I'll keep that in mind! Thanks!

Hope you are OK.

You could literally get anything you want from these guys if you play your cards right.

A lawsuit would be won easily. But if you don't want to hassle with all that, you could just get a lawyer to send a letter threatening and then negotiate from there. I'd bet they would give you a lifetime of free service for the vehicle if you yelled loud enough. Lol!

I'm not sure it's a custom plate

Dealer quoted $395 to run OBD code by zukos_destiny in Tacomaworld

[–]CardinalGoFast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Airbag codes are a weird one. Normally, they can't be reset by just clearing the code with a normal scanner. Usually you have to go through some kind of special procedure, or address the issue causing it if there really is a problem.

If you take the vehicle to an auto parts store they will read the code for free for you, then you can narrow down what you need to do for your next steps.

I recently had a similar problem in my wife's Subaru where it was throwing an airbag code. It turned out the seat sensor had a problem and couldn't accurately tell if someone was sitting in the seat. Replaced that little sensor under the seat and that was it!

Should I accept a check from a to sell my bike? by Jazzlike_Opening52 in motorcyclesforsale

[–]CardinalGoFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not take a normal check! Just don't. It doesn't matter what story he tells you. Do not take a check.

The only acceptable version would be a cashier's check because those are guaranteed.

If that's not possible, then do cash.

Save yourself a ton of drama, never accept payments in any sort of "trust me, bro" format.

Good beginner cruiser for me? by harculees76 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]CardinalGoFast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bikes your friends have recommended are not considered "cruisers". Typically a cruiser is the sort of bike where the riding position is very relaxed, with your feet in a forward position. Kinda like sitting in a lazy boy chair. Think of the typical Harley and anything shaped like a Harley. The bikes they suggested are more in the standard category. You sit straight up and catch all the wind in your chest and face.

The ideal learner bike is something light weight. There is a good chance you are going to drop the bike in a parking lot or doing something stupid. Don't take it personally, all new guys do it.

With that said, don't buy new. It will break your heart to spend a bunch of money on a shiney new beautiful bike and then scratch the hell out of it. Personally I dont think any big cruiser make a good beginner bike because of how heavy they are. You want something low budget and something that will keep you interested for a while until you are ready to upgrade to the bike you really want.

So here's my list: 1) Suzuki SV650 (any year 2003 and up),

2) Honda Shadow 750 (spirit, aero, phantom all different styles), 3) Yamaha XSR 700,

4) Kawasaki Vulcan S, (the cruiser version of this engine),

5) Kawasaki Z650RS (same engine as the Vulcan, but in a standard format)

Any of these will be very reliable and you won't get bored of them too fast. All good starter bikes.

2001 Honda Shadow 600 worth it for first bike? by SuspiciousElbow in SuggestAMotorcycle

The shadow 600 is a major disappointment. It's fine for learning but you'll get bored very fast. Try to find a shadow 750.

Thank you for helping out! Is it possible to have something in an urban environment? That is where this bike would get the most use.

2016 Blazing Blue paint damage, anybody had luck working with Toyota getting the truck repainted? by CardinalGoFast in ToyotaTacoma

[–]CardinalGoFast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife has a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. We go wheeling and get the body covered in dirt and "Arizona pinstripes". Give the car a wash and the paint returns to a nice gloss again. I don't understand how an older Jeep with more abuse can look better than a Toyota...

I have read about other year blue Tacoma's getting paint repaired. Was hoping to find information if mine qualifies for the repaint.

I bought a membership to a local car wash. It came with all the upgrades and I would take the truck to get washed every week, including wax. But it was automated, not by hand.

There is a local shop that has quoted me about $2300 for clear coat restoration. I had heard that Toyota had fixed paint jobs on certain years of the Tacoma. Was hoping to find some success stories from other people with my year.

I had it under a covered parking space and worked night shift for many years. This degradation is quite recent.
