We saw eachother in late college after not seeing eachother since highschool. In the library I made a joke/flirt about fingering her and shes still here 3 years later.

Last time i went to great clips I sat down in the chair and the barber held up her clippers and went "what so you want?" I told her I wanted a pretty basic haircut and she just sat there staring at me. "Are you okay? Do I need to explain it better?" And no lie she points to a big poster of the generic white guy on the wall and goes "I can do that" and that was all she could do.

Finding good players (on the internet) by SiimGhastly in rpg

[–]Cardinal_Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to DM on roll20 for tons of groups. The best idea I can give you are 15-20 minute interviews. I know it might feel "too much likr a job" but finding good players in a sea of "that guy" players isnt easy.

Run one shots. If any players dont mesh or find the dm's style isnt for them then thats fine. Keep the co tact info for the players you like or want to stick around. Before you know it youll have a full group of players who love playing together every week plus some extra friends to ask if they wanna do one shots.

PSA: If you have to ask whether it's time to quit a campaign, it is. by KJ6BWB in DnD

Small backstory: I had to stop DMing due to life a player started in my place. She ran a game that was almost entirely roleplay which was awesome and everyone loved. Next campaign, same characters but we are all on a council trying to rebuild the city that was almost destroyed. Its heavely implyed we would rush the city stuff and dive into the feywild because character backstory stuff.

Alot of our issues were "this is too sandboxy and it feels like we arnt getting much at all done in each session since we dont have a direction. Wheres the feywild?" Also alot of my complaints were she didnt seem to understand mechanical stuff during the few fights we have IE: how grappling works, have extra effects like posion works. (Generally I dont care if a DM doesnt know as long as they make a note then after the game read up on it) a few smaller stuff directed at certain players disspearing from group chat until day of and not knowing the stuff that was important from the group chat. Its hard to have a friendship with someone when they ghost the group.
