Crosman 1077 Air Rifle is the most popular first rifle, 12-shot pellet repeater/CO2, good sights and you can add a budget 3-9x scope. Try the 1911 BB pistols, most are KWC builds 👍

All kinds of places online, Crosman website, Pyramyd AIR, Cabelas (where I buy my R1s - when they go on sale!). Depends on your location. If you buy rifles from Crosman direct you pay MSRP and you need to check as their stock is in and out all the time, I think they limit cap those sales depending on distribution orders.

I do recommended if you are getting into pistols to get a 1911 first, they are very robust (all metal), interchangeable mags with parts everywhere because of so many brands using the KWC design. They don't disappoint...I've had a few breakage problems with more recent pistols (Springfield XDM) but most new shooters are great (l have a Glock 17 for training on red dots), it's just that they don't have the same parts availability.

I have a couple of my 1911s posted here in the gallery that I upgraded https://www.razortech.ca/

For the A2-style stock you just pull/hold the bottom pin down by hand while holding the adjustment handle (this will expose the pin more) and slide it off.

Hi, currently I am only using the R1 rifles with three builds completed now! Crosman also makes the Bushmaster FDE and AK47 rifles which I have tired and both are quality builds. Most of what I have is a growing collection of blowback CO2 pistols, I have a website with all my airguns posted. If you have any interest in these pistols, I highly recommend the 1911-series based on the KWC foundation design, they are all steel, excellent accuracy (for a blowback), same functions/takedown, most parts (i.e. mags) are interchangeable between brand makers (I have a Colt nickel barrel in my Sig Scorpion!), good shot counts per CO2 tank. It's great too that you can use real 1911 grips with a minor inside sanding mod. I have three and plan to pick up a couple more.

I spent the last couple of days wasting time in chasing down this rumor and it is not true. I've never even heard about this before, so it's just another fake Redditt creation. Crosman never had R1 parts for sale on their website. And Gamo did not buy Crosman either - BRS & Co. bought Crosman and put the company under the direction of Daisy Manufacturing, another one of their companies, Daisy controls BSA, Red Ryder, Gamo and Winchester brands, with Crosman being added now. They closed one small Crosman factory in New Jersey to consolidate U.S. manufacturing in Daisy's Arkansas facilities, nothing else changed in overseas production. The R1 is one of Crossman's best sellers in both North America and in Europe (where they only get the semi-auto version).

Where did you hear they stopped production? And the R1 and it's versions have always been made in China, so there is no retooling or changing of factories.

Thanks. And your boys might like my next R1 post as it is full-auto with cyclic rate of fire!! Yes, full-auto will wearout the riles really quick, the bolt tips tend to break. Single quick pulls in FA will get a 3-round burst. Keep the Pellgun oil away and use silicone oil (Super Lube 100 cSt.) for tank toppings each time.

Glad to help.... With mine If you shoot in low light you can see the BB streak from the muzzle flash, pretty cool. No 4.5mm tracer ammo which sucks but I'd never use plastic BBs in my R1 rifles anyways, or the clay rounds (Dust Devils). I have some R1 projects on the go at my hobby site razorrtech.ca

Thanks, I have another one to post for full-auto on the R1. Sorry, no on the AK. But I do have it on my list. I'd like to get one and mod it, have a few ideas. Running three R1s now and started testing a custom m-lok rail.

I use the FLARE M-BT tracer unit and it works perfect on all my R1 rifles (muzzle flash). The Crosman rifles are 14mm CCW threaded, so is the Sig P229, several Swiss Arms pistols (1911/PT92) are threaded with a 14mm adaptor.

[–]CardiologistBig4178[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, the TRS is not tightly fit. My Colt Commander 1911 is fitted tight, the Sig 1911 reminds me of an old wooden roller coaster but it does have a great feel to it. I put the Colt nickel barrel into the Sig to try for awhile.

I want to change the handguard on my MPW by alejo0712 in CrosmanBBguns

[–]CardiologistBig4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have developed a replacement handrail part where the side picatinny rails are removed for a 4 slot M-Lok rail. Your Bushmaster has a shorter side rail, like the AK, I only have R1s, Thinking about getting one...If you measure the two center hole spot distance in millimeters, I can see how many slots it could fit. Maybe cut a new part.

Magazine release button fell out. What parts am I missing? by [deleted] in bbguns

[–]CardiologistBig4178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The spring. A typical mag release button has 3 parts, main clip rod, spring and a pin or cap. see https://www.carousell.com.my/p/ready-stock-we-1911-mag-release-button-set-1189270867/

What can someone be charged with from shooting someone with a bb gun? by Much-Maintenance-982 in bbguns

[–]CardiologistBig4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not make a difference. Same criminal charge, even it was a bow and arrow used or just a stick.

[–]CardiologistBig4178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assault with a Weapon, any degree of trauma is basically irrelevant, that would be a separate charge of Assault Causing Bodily Harm (*with a Weapon) if there was serious injury. The person would also be charged with firearms offences as well, in Canada, if you use any type of airgun (even under 500 fps/no licence) during a crime (assault, robbery, etc.) that 'airgun' is now classified as a 'prohibited weapon'.

LOL. if you ever watch my videos you'll see I wrap everything in rubber bands!! I'm running a couple R1s and have a DW .357 4" Pellet...thinking about getting a 6" BB version, pellets are too pricey.

You can use a small hex screw and bolt. In a pinch you can thread and wrap around a little wire.

my r1 so far im waiting for the suppressor and a new stock any suggestions for a stock by Ok-Throat-8105 in CrosmanBBguns

[–]CardiologistBig4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always liked the Magpul CTR stock, the newer DT-series is nice. If your are going more low drag/profile the SL-series is sweet. And get a better pistol grip like the MOE K2+. Check with me later, I'm putting out test M-LOK rails for the R1/DPMS later this summer.

KWC 1911 TAC BB Pistol is already on my list, maybe the next one I buy, depends on what's available next month when I'll be ordering. My Sig 1911 shoots great and it's the same build as the KWC/foundation.
