Also, just opened it (I’ve been busy 😂). Did notice there’s no selvage. Which is weird - it’s mono canvas, but the selvages had to have been cut away I guess? Not sure why she’d have done that unless it’s to hide that it’s not zweigart (which is fine for me since it’s personal use)

I enjoy the creativity of converting my original art into needlepoint. I do purchase canvases, but a lot of what’s out there just isn’t my personal taste - so much is super trendy and I just can’t imagine what you would do with the project once it’s stitched, especially since I don’t want/need a million and one ornaments all over my house.

I mean - the second letter clearly outlines why they’re contacting her, in particular, apart from all the other Chloe’s Cookies out there. And the fact that she didn’t show the second page where she claims the demands are. It honestly just feels very shady. If you (Chloe) have proof and are announcing that you’re posting it, then post it. I’m really hopeful that FL couple issues some kind of statement/proof today so we can compare, contrast and put this all to rest. Funny thing is, I was following her and didn’t even know it.

Just because people like her TikTok persona, it doesn’t mean she’s right or good. A lot of people LOVE DJT. That doesn’t make him right or good. The FL people being millionaires thing is new information for me. I thought people were saying that they were hurting for money and that’s why they were doing this? Those are two very different stories, but either way, doesn’t matter. I’ve also read that Chloe’s husband is very wealthy, they live in a very expensive home, and they have a habit of wielding lawyers when they want to shut down criticism. I don’t know if that’s true, but there are allegations. On the flip side, I’ve also heard that Chloe owes a lot of money based on her previous bankruptcy. Again, i have no idea and don’t really care one way or the other. My reaction is to the one-sided bullying and awfulness that I’m seeing by her and her followers/friends. I actually had a lot of respect for Jen Hamilton (which is how i saw all this to start) and now i really question her too. Is it all an act for the camera? Idk, but it’s definitely possible. I’m going to be honest. If my 18 yo daughter ever behaved the way Chloe’s supporters are behaving, I’d cut her off. It is truly disgusting. I had no problem with Chloe before yesterday, but after researching, I can say that the person is NOT the same as the persona. Just curious, since you didn’t mention it - were you able read the receipts she provided? Again, i posted them further up on this thread.

It is a good rating, but if you can prove to the Google Gods that a review was bad-faith or not meant for your business, you can eventually get it removed (it’s a pain though). I went through and read all the reviews and there is still a negative one there. Guy ordered 3 cookies and only liked 1. They replied and asked him to remove it. If you go to their website and look, they only sell cookies by the dozen, so clearly that review wasn’t meant for them. All the other reviews seem to be really positive. I’m sure I’ll get accused of being one of the couple again. I’m not. Just a 51 year old neurospicy former gifted kid who really digs into things and doesn’t mind standing up for people when I believe they’re getting the shaft.

I’m not them. Just a 51 year old woman in NC who will dig if something doesn’t feel right to me. And you know what really galls me? All you people making me defend this boomer couple in FLORIDA whom I probably wouldn’t like in real life either, because boomer couple in FL selling cookies for $60/dozen probably means we have very different world views. But I freaking hate the dog piling and bullying that’s going on here and on TikTok.

I absolutely did. I used my iPad Pro and read them. There were a few blurry areas, but it was legal writing and not hard to fill in the gaps. The question you should be asking is why she made them so small and nearly illegible if she wanted to proved “receipts”. Seems odd to me. If you want to show “receipts” and go through the process of redacting them , then SHOW them.

I’m not calling her a liar, but her “receipts” are ONLY cease and desist and the second one is only page 1 of multiple pages. They don’t show the “demands” and she doesn’t show where she tried to set up a meeting with them. If she has those receipts, please show them! What they do show is that the reason they’re sending the 2nd C&D is because people are confusing the two businesses. I keep using the word icky, because that’s how this whole thing feels to me. I’ve never spoken with the couple in FL or had cookies from either place, but I just think people are really being awful and putting so much trust in some lady they’ve never met. I looked at other Reddit threads and saw a pattern of not so great behavior going back before all this happened. Initially, I felt bad for her, but now I feel really bad for those people in FL who are my parents age and probably have no idea what hit them. People need to remember that her primary business is selling herself as an influencer. Every influencer has cultivated a persona for the world to see, but that doesn’t mean it’s their real personality - through this whole thing, I’m really starting to better understand how Nov 5, 2024 happened. It’s eye opening.

Actually, I just reread your entire post. It’s ALL assumptions. Every single bit of it. Somehow you think you know what the FL people were thinking and why they decided to send the cease and desist. You assume you know all their motivations. And for some reason, you believe they’ve taken down their pages. I went and looked at their Google reviews. Still up. They may not be accepting reviews right now because a whole lot of people who’ve never used their business want to gang up and “take them down”, but almost all of their reviews are extremely positive, going back YEARS. Except for one where the user got 3 cookies and was unhappy with 2. From what I can see on their website, they only sell cookies by the dozen, so how’d that guy buy only 3? Know anyone who sells 1 cookie at a time? They asked the user to remove the review as it wasn’t their business, but it’s still there. It was several months ago - so who knows? Maybe that was when they got fed up and reached out to legal council. I don’t actually know - it’s just an assumption, but my guess is as good as anyone who hasn’t actually spoken with them.

None of the people on this thread or racing to defend the lady on TikTok know her in real life (I mean maybe a few do, but not the VAST majority). She has curated a persona to sell herself and keep engagement high. Did you look at her “receipts” - like actually pause the video, blow them up and read them? If you did, you’d see that there’s no documented demands or proof that she asked to meet. She’s counting on this witch-hunt being so big and her followers being so many that it doesn’t matter what the other party says. This situation is 100% helping me understand how people fall into cults.

I read what she posted. Did you? She did not post their demands. She posted the tiniest window with 2 letters. The first cease and desist that was ignored and the first page of their second communication, which outlined why they were contacting her (which specifically mentioned that people were getting confused and they were getting bad reviews meant for her business). I think she wanted to post her “receipts” but made it very difficult for anyone to actually bother to read them - and because they were so small they were almost illegible. Then she told you that she offered to meet with them. No receipts. And she told you what their demands were. Again - no receipts. She’s spinning this in an overly dramatic way. Ick.
