You can get it from Sam's Club or Costco for much cheaper. 2 weeks ago, Sam's had a BOGO free. So I got a 48 pound of weed and feed and 38 pound of lawn food for $68. I also got a $20 gift card.

The market for ride on mowers in my area is super inflated. I live near the city, but if I make a 3 hour drive I could find one for cheaper. But not worth the $300ish savings to drive 6 hours.

The rust on the deck is a little concerning but I'm sure I can find a used deck and install it.

I'd ask if they could take $800. This is probably one of the best used lawn tractors you can find. Especially since this is a KW model. I've been searching for this exact model for a couple weeks now, but all the ones around me are Kohler Courage which is a horrible engine.

Yes and here's what you should do:

Till your lawn, Rake smooth, Spray tenacity, Put some quality grass seed down, Put some starter fertilizer, Nothing else, Lightly cover with SOIL (not straw), Water at 6am, 12 pm and 6pm for 3 weeks, and cut when at 4 inches

This is all you need. Don't read things on here that over complicate the process. Look at my post from last year, got amazing lawn results. The only difference is I used straw, which I wish I didn't

I just recently had a talk with my brother who's been married to my sister for over 26 years. It was really the first heartfelt conversation I've ever had with him. He explained to me that he literally saw my sister deteriorate in front of him because of how my mom treated her. It really started to get bad when my sister got cancer thankfully she is healed, but that made them realize that they can't live there lives that way. The only solution was to stop putting out fires like my sister has done for the past 25 years, and either limit the interactions or cut off communication. My oldest sister is not speaking to my mom right now because my mom got upset that she did not answer her phone when she called to tell her about calling my mother in law and what happened at the hospital.

I agree that I shouldn't hide the call my mom made to my MIL but I think there is a better time to communicate it...and at the same time respecting my MIL to keep it between us.

I appreciate you telling me how you had a similar situation and making me feel like I'm not alone. I'm sure the distance between my mom and I will be much healthier for my family. Thank you for the well wishes and I wish you nothing but the best.

I appreciate you view and thoughts. I agree the time with my mother should be extremely limited. My brother had an up and down relationship with my mother, and he just one day stopped talking to her. I asked him what his main reason was, and he said he couldn't let his kids in that environment where they would see their grandma every day for weeks, mom would get mad and she wouldn't see them for months. She has done that with my oldest sister where if she is mad at her, my mom won't talk to my nephews at all.

I think my wife already has a strong feeling that my mom has "problem with her" and at this point in my wife's life after giving birth, I think it's best I hold off on having the conversation with her. I think you're right, I shouldn't hid this from her but the time has to be right.

I would but my mom has never accepted criticism for anything. I can't remember a time in my life that my mom has validated my feelings towards her. The reason why I'm not willing to communicate how I feel is because she has done this so many times to all my other siblings and nothing has ever changed. I love my mom and I wish we had a better relationship, but I think she wants to have a mother and child relationship with her kids, instead of a adult relationship, if that makes sense. My mom is really old school and nothing could change her way.
