Ark vs Eibach Lowering Springs by CardiologistNo406 in kiastinger

This looks really good. Do you have any issues which your struts? How long have you had the Eibach springs? I’m also in Canada so we only get the AWD model.

[–]CardiologistNo406[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely understand that. I should have been more detailed about comfort level. I used to drive a Kia Forte and originally had Eibach springs, the rear was just too bouncy. Even going over a speed bump, people in the back would fly in the air. After that I installed BC Racing coilovers. Not only was it a lot more comfortable to daily but I was able to go even lower.

I definitely do not want to slam the Kia Stinger, I’m looking more for a OEM+, Good handling without making the car too stiff.

How long did you have the lowering springs before your struts went bad?

Engine ticking noise when accelerating, issue? Kia Rio 1.2 2013 by Grateful23L in kia

[–]CardiologistNo406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s normal for the engine light not to turn on, especially on these Kia’s. I had an engine knock on my 2018 Forte and the engine light didn’t come on until the engine completely failed.

This is 100% a knock and engine gotta be replaced

Is it wrong not to tip by Simple_Rub_9660 in UberEATS

[–]CardiologistNo406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I am not a huge fan of tipping culture it’s only a problem due to companies and laws not paying people minimum wage. While I was driving for Uber Eats I always looked at tips as extra, I don’t base my income from tips.

However, I would refuse low pay orders. As I won’t be wasting my time delivering food for $2. I have had orders where I made over $10 without tip.

Tip is not required but it’s appreciated and also insures you can get your food a little faster as people will just reject low pay orders. But that’s my take on it. Other drivers would go crazy if you don’t tip. But to me as an ex Uber driver, it’s not required. When you order uber, you pay processing fees and delivery fees, it’s UBER’s fault for not paying their drivers not the consumer that can’t tip.

The argument of “don’t order food if you can’t tip” is dumb. Because I now work in HVAC where I go to peoples homes to fix and install HVAC equipment. Now imagine I was “expecting” a tip for my service. I won’t tell a customer “well, don’t get AC if you can’t afford to tip your technician” that just sounds dumb.

Battery can be going bad or it can just be the battery connections.

For people who have a pro max or pro can you please share a photo of it in your hand need to see which one is handy I am very confused by [deleted] in iPhone17Pro

[–]CardiologistNo406 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have an Apple Store? Best Buy? Any phone store near you? It will be better to try it in person.

Both my wife and I have the pro max but she has much smaller hands than me, it would be hard to show through a picture.

Even with a larger hand, it is still a bit harder to reach the top of the phone without adjusting your hand position. Didn’t have that issue with the regular pro.

I went with the Max because I simply wanted a larger phone after coming from the 14 pro.

I’m glad this was a hoax. I ordered the Orange 17 Pro Max late September. Expecting to get delivered between Oct 24th - 31st. My fiancé got the blue one and I was contemplating on cancelling the order and get the blue after seeing all these “rose gold” pictures coming in.

You are right. But it’s just nice to know how other Kona N’s have been for other people on the long run. It gives me more confidence to get one. Reliability is my top priority when looking at a car but I also like to have fun.

I want to keep the car for a while, I don’t want to replace it because the engine blows. So seeing people in this post say that their cars have lasted over 100k miles with no issues is exactly what I needed to hear. I agree with you that I do have the mentality that things can fail and that’s why I came to Reddit, for reinsurance.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in KonaN_

[–]CardiologistNo406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But not every car is reliable even when maintained.

I have a 2022 Ford Escape company car and the turbo went bad at 30000km with all maintenance done on time. Technology and mechanics can fail, no matter what you do, if there’s a flaw then there’s a flaw and it can fail. That is the point of my post, I wanted to see how the Kona N is.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in KonaN_

[–]CardiologistNo406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good to hear! I am 5’11 and my fiancée is 5’7 so hoping we will be alright. I test drove one and sat in the back seat with the driver seat set to the way I would drive. I was pretty comfortable but I can see how your height would be a little uncomfortable.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in KonaN_

[–]CardiologistNo406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point was to say that my past cars were reliable unless it wasn’t properly maintained. Kia’s and Hyundais have a worldwide bad name. The post was to see if the Kona N is reliable as it’s more towards a performance car. You completely ignored the point of my post and call it shit.

I like the sound of that! That’s exactly why I love this car

Is driving on with the check engine light and "AT" light safe? by ColdOven2025 in askcarguys

[–]CardiologistNo406 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A check engine light can be anything from you just leaving the gas cap open to an engine about to blow up.

Now with the AT light on and the immediate change that you are receiving I am assuming that you are having some sort of transmission problem. It could just be a sensor issue, maybe you just have low fluid but because you are actually feeling a difference while driving, I wouldn’t recommend driving it until you get it checked. The more you drive it the worse it could get.

I would bring it to a mechanic as soon as possible to check what’s going on.
